This charming deli and ice cream parlor is a hidden gem that absolutely deserves a visit! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of freshly made sandwiches and the sweet, comforting scent of homemade ice cream. On my visit, I ordered the "Sueban" sandwich, and let me tell you, it was an absolute revelation. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the fillings incredibly generous, and the bread? Oh, the bread was just the right kind of crusty on the outside and wonderfully soft within. Every bite was a delight, truly one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.

But the delicious food is only half the story – and arguably not even the most magical part. Head through to the back, and you'll discover an enchanting outdoor area that feels less like a deli patio and more like a secret garden escape. It's a true oasis, bursting with an incredible array of gorgeous plants and featuring a serene koi pond where colorful koi swim peacefully. It's the absolute perfect spot to relax and savor your meal, whether you're grabbing a quick lunch break or lingering over a scoop (or two!) of their incredible homemade ice cream. Pekadill's will be a spot we visit every time we are in town.

Went at 2:30 on a Saturday and it was only a short wait before they took our order at the counter. A steady pace of customers walked in and easily filled out the front room, backroom and large outdoor patio seating. The place was very clean and well staffed that kept themselves busy. You order food and continue down the line to grab chips and a drink. There you will pay and get a number card for them to run the food to your table.

Unfortunately, we had dinner in 3 hours and didn't want to gorge. Well, I did eat this pretty heavy French Dip that I had to try after looking at the quality of what others were eating. After having many disappointing French Dips at diners on the East Coast, this was quite the surprise. I'd be shocked if they didn't roast the beef in-house. Tender, perfectly sliced and seasoned. I ordered a side of horseradish which rounded out the sandwich nicely. 5/5

My wife a had the veggie pocket and enjoyed it, but said it could have used a bit of a vinegary element.

We stopped by here on a whim after visiting the local lighthouse museum. We googled "sandwiches" and this was the first place that came up near by. It was a really nice stop. The front is in a vintage style. I had the Roast Beef and my boyfriend had the French dip sandwich. Both were good solid sandwiches, filling with soft bread. My boyfriend got the macaroni salad as a side and I just got a bag of chips. I wish I would have gotten a homemade salad or at least the hot apple slices. The sides were very small, coming in a salad dressing cup but that was fine since the sandwiches were filling. We decided to treat ourselves to ice cream and we each got a single scoop. It was the largest scoop of ice cream I have ever seen. So you get the bang for your buck on the ice cream, but I'm not sure a child or most adults could handle one on their own.
