Robel's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Whitehall

Fantastic ice cream served by hard working Columbus residents. My Spanish sucks. Their English was OK at best. DID IT MATTER? No. I pointed. They pointed. I showed fingers to try to indicate something. They laughed. I laughed because I don't take myself seriously.

THIS IS WHY COLUMBUS IS GREAT. I can live in a neighborhood where people are different. I can buy ice cream at a locally owned shop. A place other than a big name store where everyone and everything is perfectly organized. This diversity of community makes Columbus stronger. I don't want to live in a place where everyone is the same.

Loved the experience! There are quite a few flavors at Robel’s that I’ve never tried. Opted for a classic cookies & cream milkshake + Robel’s rendition of a caramel frappé—the presentation was lovely 😍 Robel’s has great decor and a great ambiance. The establishment is packed with color. Straight ahead, immediately upon walking in, there is a photo op setup against the wall. It’s a great place to take pics of the lovely creations, but any of the tables that are aptly decorated will do too. The staff keeps it lively in here & were great help when deciding what to order. Used to walk here all the time when I lived nearby, and still pop in whenever I have an excuse to be nearby. Love both the savory food and ice cream treats. Menu for my dream visit (definitely shared with friends, I could never take down this much food): Dorilocos, Bionico, Mangonada, Chicharron, Esquites, finish with some Paletas.
