So going on 31 I see this place all the time. And I'm thinking to myself you know what that's actually sounds worth trying. Especially since it's a buffet and I always feel like I can eat more rice or I want more rice with my food. Or some more cheese dip or some more chicken. But when I got in there, I looked at the buffet and I saw it was nothing. Like it looks like they are about to close not cooking anything new nothing. The waitress that we did have went there 2 or 3 to stir it and maybe add 1 thing. Which already had stuff in it and I believe it was the beans. Bonus part, I went with my wife and the only thing she ate was cheese and rice. For 10 to 12 dollars. Because the chicken was pretty much dry and crispy to a point of I'm not eating that. Not only that but my wife had to wait 5 or 8 minutes or longer to get a refilled. And I never been here so maybe I'm making a mistake. But if it's a buffet, a buffet, it is normally full of stuff. Or at least better than what it had. Like this is a Mexican restaurant and the main dish that comes with everything is rice and beans. A lot of beans and enough to make 2 scoops of rice.
So I wasn't sure if I should go ask them Hey could you make some more food for the all you can eat buffet. But I'm also over here like that's not my job as a customer. I did ask one thing because the sign outside said meal, drink, and dessert. And I'm like it's not a bad deal. So I see the dessert menu right next to me thinking maybe it's one of these. The waitress comes up to me and I ask her hey does this come with a dessert like what all comes with a buffet. She said it is only the food and the drink. No dessert. I was confused, because I saw the sign outside and thought I know I am not wrong. But what ever. Maybe I am. Went up again and I saw a colorer. I didn't want to just open it since she just said there was not dessert with the meal.
And here's the best part I got charged a checkout fee and I'm over here thinking this entire meal is terrible. It's like I'm being charged to check out because what I don't have cash or something. I'm gonna say this right now save money and never go here. Also, tell me how the food went from warmish to cold in seconds after taking it to my seat and eating one bit. Like nice temp first bit. To cold the next one. Within seconds of each other btw. And it was not a cold section that I got it. I quickly had many more and couldn't feel any heat whatsoever.
Because, one if the food is any better than the food I just had not worth it. It was so blind I was actually concerned that I was not even in a restaurant. And honestly I don't even consider this a restaurant. Second, sign says one thing and waitress says no. Make that make sense. Third, a checkout fee of that, makes me laugh. Forth, somehow the food lost it's heat in seconds. Like warm bit, next bit room temp. Next bit cold.
I will not be surpised if this place is gone. Because that was not worth 30 dollars.
I would have said something, but I personally just wanted to get out before I got mad.
Honestly I didn't even spell check. I just wrote out my issue and was going to delete it. But...
Read moreREAD THIS REVIEW & WATCH OUT. Started off 4 tables were occupied and took a while to even address us after seated. Food took over 40 mins to come out. Although the cook was enjoying his music as we could hear him singing in the back. We had to ask for refills. When food did come the tamales were canned tamales. The waitress even admitted to it when we asked. She did take off one order of tamales since we ordered 2 but when we went to the cash register the price was way over. Had her show the amount and adding in my head even just making the $13.99 into $14.00 there was an additional 8.00 over tax amount. This was the 2nd time it has happened. First time I chocked it up to new young girl. When I questioned it they remove the other amount by "taking off the soda drinks" still. I want everyone to be aware and not be scammed as they sit there and add extra amounts to the tab thinking we can't add in our heads. 1 year ago would have never said anything bad about this place but now this is an on...
Read moreOnly went in for the margaritas. The Texas Margarita we thought was supposed to be a good strong margarita with a double shot of tequila but it tasted like a super sweet kool-aid with no alcohol. The jalapeño margarita wasn't as bad but still too sweet for me. I wouldn't go back for margaritas. The place on north end Morton Street in Franklin makes a great jalapeño margarita and blue cactus makes amazing margaritas. We tried the chips and salsa and it was the most bland tasting and tasted like only canned tomatoes with tiny bit of Cilantro. Tried adding bunch of hot sauce to it. Service wasn't bad but it was the last hour and there was only one other couple when we walked in. I...
