Rich's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Whitemarsh Township

It's a small place—there's a few tables outside on a shared terrace, but I don't recall seating inside—where you order in front of a deli counter. Behind you, there's coffee brewing, and racks of chips and snacks. At your right, refrigerators hum, chilling sodas, ice tea, and juices. Headlines shout local news from a newspaper rack near the register. A paper-wrapped sandwich passes from the deli worker to whoever's working the register—it could be Rich himself, if he's not up at “Rich's Other Place”, a sit-down restaurant/diner a few miles up Bethlehem Pike—it and your soda disappear into a brown paper bag, and you walk out with one of the most generous hope-you-have-an-appetite sandwiches...

Called in at 11:30am on Sunday to order a couple breakfast sandwiches. Was told “We’re on to lunch now , done with breakfast”. Really????? I guess you can’t cook a couple eggs at 11:30. I know you have bacon, because if I ordered a BLT you would make it. Your sandwiches are good, but expensive. I went to the Sweetbriar in Ambler, a couple minutes away, ordered my breakfast sandwiches, with no issue, and guess what? They were just as good as Rich’s, if not better!!! They were also less expensive. Sorry Rich, you just lost a long time customer. Maybe you should rethink your breakfast policy and how you treat...

I always order from here with no problem. I work at the hospital down the street which does a lot of business with this place. Today, I order the same thing with one of the same individuals that usually takes my order. The short white guy with glasses told me that’s there’s no side of eggs with which is clearly on the menu for one dollar. I called after paying an extra $7.50 for my order and the guy was nasty and told me not to order it again. I just sent an email to let our company know they should not order from this...
