McDonald's — Restaurant in Whitewater

I will always love McDonald’s and yes, there are some that are better than others for sure. And yes, they went through a rough period during Covid and short staffing and now overcharging, but I still love it when I’m in the mood for it that’s what I want and this McDonald’s gives me what I want. The french fries have to be fresh and they always are And I’m gonna eat inside it has to be clean and it is of course I must say that I would’ve given it five star, but they got work on the pricing innovative and as far as paying the employees they got to get over themselves and do better by their employees you just can’t consumers anymore because if you have 1 billion you can at least afford $17.50 an hour but I’ve been going there for many years and I love McDonald’s. I love the fish sandwich. I love the french fries nobody has better french fries unless you go to a high school upscale place you never really have to wait very long compared to other drive-through places and the kids love to go because the kids love their kids meal with the little treats. I still prefer the classic design inside like the original one that’s in Des Plaines, Illinois and we had one like that in Middleton and then they decided to make it more modern and it’s so sterile but anyway I go there for the food I go there because I can get it quick and I actually love their coffee, I drive through there almost twice or three times a week very early in the morning to get my coffee for the road. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper by the way and it’s really good coffee. It’s a lot cheaper than going to Starbucks so they are handicap friendly they are kid friendly. And let me just tell you to end this review let me just tell you one thing having myself been in business for a long time and yes, it’s terrible. What happened with the situation recently with the onions but think about it oh my gosh, they’ve been in business for over 50 years. I never remember one time that there was ever ever ever an issue with their food in the sense of safety , so they’ve given us a lot of memories and a lot of fun over the years and especially the 24 hour ones when you’re really hungry or you got the munchies at two in the morning you can go to McDonald’s and get something and it will be decent. God bless and be patient things will turn around you know Americans we only have a 15 minute memory, but but this is a wake up call but it’s not isolated to McDonald’s all of the food chains need to Regulate themselves as far as checking on there farm or distribution centers where what country they’re from because we’re never gonna give up our McDonald’s can you imagine America without a McDonald’s? No so I get five stars but four stars right now just simply because they need to pay the people more and Pretty soon. I’ll have optimist there. They’ll have robots cooking the food. They can cook 24 seven and they’ll be in original investment, but that should open up to give better prices again and then pay the employees that are there to supervise the robots more money it’s...

It's clear that the owner/manager never reads any of these reviews. I just had the worst experience ever in a McDonalds. Only one of four order kiosks was operating. Fairly long line trying to place an order. No table numbers available which caused several customers to start their order over and ask for take-out in order to finish the order process. What turned out to be the "manager" repeatedly ignored requests for help from several customers. When I finally placed my to go order, the kiosk did not print out a number/receipt. The "manager" came to the counter and shouted "who ordered a medium drink?" I said nothing since I had not ordered a drink. She asked the same question several times looking directly at me. I said that I had not ordered a drink and that I had not gotten a receipt from the kiosk. She said "you want your order?" I said yes. She said again "you want your order?" this time with a very rude demeanor. I again said yes. She said "come over here then". I asked if the manager was available. She said "I'm the manager". I said "then do your job". She said "Have a nice day" and walked away and refused to take my order. This occurred on May 4, 2022 at approximately12:30 pm. Incidentally, the seating area was filthy and the serving counter looked like it hadn't been cleaned since yesterday.

The food is average McDonald's food. I've had some screw-ups in the past but usually it's fine. Many employees there have been slow, unattentive, and unfriendly. There are exceptions, but the overall service is poor. For one example, I had to wait twenty five minutes for a 20 piece nugget. Not because they were, not because they had to remake it, but because someone left it on their rack for pick up orders, marked the order as being taken to my car, and then didn't do it. I had to go in and ask where my food was to get it. Also, the atmosphere is the modern corporate feel I dislike. On top of that, I find the interior often ill-maintained, even during slow times. There will be messes by the drink station, several unclean tables, and restrooms that haven't been kept clean, at the same time on more than one occasion.
