Golden Chick — Restaurant in Wichita Falls

I have waited a week to give this review in hopes that the franchise owners would respond to my email. However, that has not occurred. (10-23-24)

On 10-15-24, Upon pulling up to the drive-thru, there was no warm greeting. We were undecided and asked for options from the order-taker who sounded put off at our request. Once we got to the pick-up window, the girl didn't greet us, took our money, and then handed us our food. We checked to make sure everything was in the bag before leaving and noticed the gravy was missing so we kindly got her attention through the window and said that we still needed the gravy and she didn't even apologize, simply shut the window, turned around and grabbed some and brought it back to the window to hand it to us. I was so shocked that she literally had nothing to say, no F you, no "have a great night," nothing. We were the only customers there. The food was warm, did not taste fresh, the okra was cold, but at this point, we weren't going to waste any more time asking for it to be made fresh

But hey, if piss poor customer service is your cup of tea, then by all means, go to this...

Me and 6 other family members stopped at Golden chick on Central freeway in Wichita falls. We ordered it was close to $50 part of us got our food some of us waited over 30 minutes said the had to cook more chicken as we waited the others started eating to keep it from getting cold, but no lo luck tenders were already cold ,okra and fries must have been left over from lunch wich was se eral hours earlier and the mac and cheese was dry and burnt tasting so we took it back to get another side and they gave us another helping of the same mac and cheese out of rmthe same pan from earlier. Finally the chicken arived first piece blood ran out of put it a side tried another guess what wasnt done either. Took it back they said sorry and offered us the dried out tenders the other part of our group got. Said know thanks so they gave us roasted chicken. We ordered the we 15 piece of fried chicken originally took the roastwd to go since we had already been there over an hour now got home opened th box of chicken ther was only 6 pieces of chicken one breast one thigh one leg and 3 wings this place sucks and the worst part the roasted chicken was not done either and i have pictures to prove it next step I will be calling the health dept. Went through the drive thru. Ordered two tender salads and fries. Both salads had VERY bad, expired lettuce. *see gross lettuce photo.

The fries and chicken were fine. Good. Employees got the order right and got the order out quickly.

Review: I dislike this specific G. Chick location. Hate would equate to everything was gross and service was terrible. Instead, improvements should be made.

Recommendation for this location: please check the lettuce and tomatoes for quality. If it's like the first photo throw it out or tell the owner. This can and will make your patrons sick.

Wrap the hot tenders instead of putting them on cold lettuce...might also help the wilting.

Also, upon driving through the drive thru there was a glass bottle (no way to avoid this). Clean and check that others aren't littering your restaurant...
