Andy's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Wichita

First impressions mean everything for a consumer, and this location failed tremendously considering this was my first visit, which turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had thus far….Wanted some ice cream and decided to try something new, initially I ordered a banana split, BYO Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Concrete and Oreo Cookie Concrete. Needless to say there was nothing concrete about this ice cream. It gets worse, The Banana split had a very very thin layer of icecream, so thin I couldn’t see it, just a very small banana and a cup full of toppings. I politely asked the manager if they’d forgot the icecream. The manager explained that is how it’s supposed to look. I then offered to pay extra for more icecream. The Lady employee, took the banana split and threw everything in a cup, minus the strawberries and handed it to me and closed the window! I couldn’t believe it. Customer service is very lacking and poor here. We continue to come for the custard, but our family has reached the cut off for this location. Employees don’t understand the meaning of sanitation here, if your handling cash or cards, why would you touch the cones with your hand? Your transferring germs and bacteria from one surface to another. Also, it’s very unkind to handle your customers food while you and another employee are talking over it. Priority should be taking care of the guest 100% then you can engage in small talk, this should not be done while you are waiting on a customer. Lastly, please teach your employees the meaning of being kind and courteous to ALL, the last visits here we have been over charged when getting custard, this time I asked for a receipt, looking at the receipt I was charged for a “waffle cone” BUT I ordered a “cake” each time I’ve asked was it a price difference I was told “NO” there is a...

We just left Andy’s after a church/pool day. Some kid/guy working the window had the biggest attitude. It shocked us because we’ve had nothing but good service every time we go get Andy’s! Makes us second guess going here.. He was getting ready to hand us one of our concretes and my boyfriend was grabbing it from him. Without saying a word, the worker snatched… yes, snatched the ice cream out of his hands without saying a word to us. He then harshly tossed it in the trash and walked back over to make it again. All while it was blending, he was staring at us through the window from afar with a pretty nasty look and the other workers looked miserable. Mind you, we haven’t said a word to him other than what we ordered. We were having such a nice Sunday until we went to Andy’s and was treated so poorly by the man working the window.
