Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Wichita

My husband and I went in for dinner tonight at 5:00 p.m. My order was mediocre (my okra was burnt and hard) but we waited 30 minutes for my husband's order (3pc chicken meal and gizzards) manager skipped right over his order to serve her buddies that had come in. The place was filled with unsavory characters. While my husband was placing his order he asked for gizzards 4 times, cashier was sooooo slow (picture sloth scene from zootopia) and she assured him they were on his order. After paying he realized she had NOT put the gizzards on there. I went up and asked her 2-3 more times for an order of gizzards, cashier did not know how to ring them up had to get help. Cook didn't know where the gizzards were in the freezer so that took two staff. Meanwhile employees are wandering in and out of kitchen serving food NO HAND WASHING and going outside to smoke or play with another employees dog still NO HAND WASHING. One employee even left out of there to walk across the street to his house or something! When we get home to eat the gizzards were RAW!!!!! AFTER WAITING 30 MINUTES!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS...

This was my third time going to this Church's Chicken which is close to my house. For the third time in a row my order was not correct and I had to call the restaurant when I got home to let them know about the problems with my order. My first two problems we're taking care of the next day which is not helpful when you're trying to order dinner for you and your family but at least I was satisfied. However this time the management that I spoke to was very rude about listening to the problems with my order and I still have not gone back to get missing items from my orders because my experience was so awful I'm actually afraid of what they will give me. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and I even called corporate and took their silly survey and asked to have someone call me back and no one did. I have been eating out in Wichita for over 50 years and as a senior citizen you do expect better service. As a disabled person it is hard for me to keep going back to places to get an order that they missed or have something else corrected it has gotten to the point of...

I seldom sing the praises of chain restaurants; but yesterday (after a completely $* week) I was craving fried chicken and decided to swing by Church's at Pawnee and Broadway on my way home. Got there at about 520pm and there was No One in line before me (yayy!!!). I saw a sign saying that a Family Meal for $20 was on special. You can choose between tenders or legs and thighs (10 pieces), 5 biscuits and 2 sides. No contest for me, I want the whole thing! My food was ready in less than 3 minutes and steaming hot (and I was honestly concerned it might have been something left over from lunch. My concern was unfounded. The chicken was SO crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The biscuits were perfect. The corn (served as an ear with a stick) might have been just a tad overcooked but still yummy! The mashed potatoes were kind of lacking (I think they might be the instant kind) but still fed my hungry belly and weren't horrible. Super great deal for $20! Great customer service,...
