We were so disappointed in our visit tonight. My husband and I had previously visited Krab Kingz last year and absolutely loved it. So when his parents were in town we wanted to take them as well. However, we should have listened to the recent reviews. When we arrived at the restaurant we were sure that it was closed, despite the open sign, because there wasn’t a single car in the parking lot. When we went inside, the sign told us to seat ourselves so we walked in and were greeted and told to sit wherever. The waitress wasn’t unfriendly but she also wasn’t friendly either. There were at least 6 signs reminding patrons to tip, which should have been a red flag. We had to repeat our order 3x for the waitress because she didn’t write it down and then she missed my father-in-laws corn. The food was so disappointing. All of our shrimp was rubbery and over cooked. The eggs are were literally rubber. The potatoes and sausage were inedible because of how much Cajun spice was on it. No where on their menu does it say that they would dump spices all over our food. But none-the-less they were coated and extremely spicy. My mother-in-law and I are both sensitive to spicy food and found at least half our meal completely inedible. The last time we ate here they did not put Cajun spices all over the food unless you ordered it that way. They need to warn people because some people don’t like or CAN’T eat spices like that, none of us are excited to see how we feel as the food settles. we had to ask the waitress for more water because she was too busy going out for smoke breaks to check on us, her only table. And a good waitress would have noticed that the table was picking at their food and left half of it on the tray. They charged us for the “included” cups of butter as well. TL;DR: food was so spicy it was inedible and over cooked, service was slow to non-existent even though we were the only customers during a Sunday...

Pretty pricey meal, which is fine, but certainly sets the standard of expectations. You place your order and pay at the counter then have a seat and wait. The wait time was reasonable, but the food runner asked as he approached our table "you guys paid right?" Tacky and innapropriate. We did not receive cole slaw as stated on the menu. No one came around to ask if we needed anything, like extra baskets or something for our children who were eating off paper towels, and no one was available to flag down as everyone was seemingly scrambling to complete closing tasks and get out of there ASAP! My husband's cup sat empty. When we finally saw the manager (owner?) she was calling an employee meeting of sorts to discuss business hours. Then the kitchen staff came out and began to put chairs on the tables to mop the floors (9:30pm), one of which stated "when the chairs go up, it's vamonos, lets go!" (Soooo rude.) Which we did. We will never come back. We will definitely NOT recommend to any person. (We know a LOT of people who LOVE hearing of a good LOCAL place to eat!! This ain't it chief!) You are better off going an extra mile south to...
So I drive by Krab Kingz Seafood everyday and I am the biggest seafood fan I know. I have usually been interested by the restaurant because it has crab in the name but the appearance of the place has always looked sketch.
I go in and the inside looks about as sketch as the outside. I wasn't sure what to expect but it turns out to be like a bad version of Joe's Crab shack. The menu is a bit pricey but most good seafood is so i wasn't turned away from the prices as much as I was scared how it would look and taste.
I end up getting the #2b which was crab and shrimp with sausages and I opted for French fries. After I got my food I was pleasantly surprised with what I got. The crab was decent (as decent as you can get for Wichita crab). The shrimp was pretty dang good but the main thing that I hated about the meal was that the shrimp was boiled in it's shell, plus it wasn't cleaned that great either (can't finding blackb in the shrimp). Even though it had those two things going against it the shrimp was pretty tasty. But my absolute favorite thing was the corn, you have to try the corn.
I liked Krab Kingz but I won't be in a rush to...
