I went here for today for Mother's Day and was shortly disappointed. There's barely 10 parking spots for you to park in, but we managed to find one. Upon entering we were greeted and asked how many. We replied 4. The waitress looked around and there were only 2 tables left that could seat 4 people, but they needed to be cleaned off. We didn't mind waiting that's fine, but of the 2 tables the waitress chooses, she picks the up against the wall where nobody is really together. The waitress had a hard time listening and understanding during any interactions. My mother was asking if they had a taco salad in a fried tortilla bowl and she had to get another waitress to figure it out, who understood immediately and explained it to her. I had to explain what kind of meat I wanted in my chimichanga 3 times and it was still wrong. The drink choices are very limited in the soda department and are canned at $2 a can. Most of the menu items were way overpriced, it was $12 for cheese dip with meat, which we felt obligated to get since the waitress gave us a basket of saltless flavorless tortilla chips with no salsa. We ordered it as an appetizer, but it came out 5 seconds before the rest of our food. My wife got the Choripollo which was pretty good. My daughter got the Birria ramen. I was SUPPOSED to have gotten a carne asada (beef) chimichanga, but instead got a carnitas (pork) one instead. My mother got the lunch tacos with beef. The cheese dip was cold within 5 minutes of hitting the table and was just a solid hunk of cheese. Even though I ordered carne asada and got carnitas instead, I wasn't going to send it back with all the trouble we'd already had. The pork was so dry and there's was no red or green sauce to be had. The best part of my plate was the rice and guac on the side which were really amazing. The rest was subpar and before you say "oh well maybe they were busy because it was Mother's Day", no, it wasn't very busy to have as many issues as we did. The grand total for everyone's dish, drinks and "appetizer" came out to $89 before tip which is a little ridiculous for the low quality food we were served. The atmosphere was okay, it was a little cramped with barely any room to walk between tables, and even though they had 3 big TVs, the only thing playing was TikToks they had made of their food. I will not be returning, between the cost and poor food, it's just not worth it.
TL;DR : poor parking, small interior, overpriced bland food, poor service. Do...
Read moreWaitress was very nice when we first went in and appeared to be very helpful. On the menu they had red chili enchiladas and green chile enchiladas for the same price except for the red enchiladas came with beans and rice and the green did not. I asked if I could get the beans and rice with the green chili enchiladas instead and she said yes. The person who was with me was vegan and the waitress suggested fried chalupas that they could put like potatoes or rice and veggies inside and leave out the meat, so that's what she ordered. I distinctly asked for no sour cream on the green enchiladas. When I got home I had no beans and rice and my enchiladas was slattered with sour cream. By the time I had added the tip I had paid almost $16 for that order. My niece received chalupas with lettuce, a tiny bit of shredded cheese and some Pico de gallo inside (nothing else) the three of them were $15. I called and they offered to redo the enchilada order and they had it ready when I got there except for they had rice but no beans. She went back got the beans I got home but I no longer had green enchiladas I had red enchiladas, and the beans didn't look like any kind of Mexican beans and rice that I ever had in any other Mexican restaurant before, they were pureed like liquidy baby food. Needless to say we were both disappointed especially considering how much we paid for each dish. Also when we did drive back to exchange my order they were not quite as friendly as they were when we went in and first ordered. I wish I had taken a picture, needless to say we will not be going back there again, that was our first time, we were very hopeful because it was very close to the house and the business that had been there prior to them was excellent. It was a major...
Read moreA little disappointed tonight with my order. I’ve ordered the same thing three times recently and received three very different things. Photo of two items shows the size of the burrito I’ve gotten 2/3 of the times I’ve ordered - once with rice & beans and once without and burrito was same size ($3 price difference). Tonight I got the smaller burrito that could barely be called a burrito! More like the size of a soft taco, soggy tortilla. Overall taste was similar but not nearly the value I’ve received before and I paid the higher price for it. More consistency in what you order and receive would be appreciated!
Response to Owner’s Response: I could not respond to the owner’s reply, so hopefully this will do. I understand the difference, but I’ve ordered both with and without the rice/beans and got the larger burrito both times. The third time I ordered, I got the rice/beans expecting the larger burrito I’d received the first time I ordered, but got the small burrito. I thought the $3 price difference was for the cost of the rice and beans and didn’t expect the taco-sized burrito.
My SO has tried three different items off the menu. So far their opinion is the enchiladas are 🔥, tamales not so much. They have not yet tried the third item but it smells amazing! Their rice is some of the best I’ve...
