SO GOOD & the BEST customer service!
I havenāt been to NuWAY in YEARS, like at least 10+ years, but we stopped in on a whim one Sunday as NuWAY isnāt located near my regular routes. I WILL make more frequent trips now though, because the burgers are just how I remember them, but the customer service is not & thatās a good thing!
We were warmly greeted by a polite young man, (his name was Gerald I think??), a few seconds after walking in the door. I was a bit taken aback because I donāt recall receiving a warm greeting at any fast food restaurant in quite some time!
My husband and I quickly ordered our lunch in true Sunday rush fast food fashion! I went with my old faithful; a NuWAY with extra extra pickles, onion rings & a root beer float. My kids had never been there before though, so they were slow to make their choices. The young man behind the counter was patient with them as they pondered the menu and finally placed their own orders. He kindly affirmed their picks, which made them smile & promptly began pouring our root beers. The frosty cold mugs were just like I remembered!
We paid, grabbed our cold mugs & found a booth. I waited for them to call us up when our trays of food was ready, but they didnāt! They brought the trays of food to us at our table, with a smile & asked us if we needed anything! What?!?!? I thought we were at a fast food joint, not a restaurant!
The food was delish! The root beer floats were ice cold and so yummy!! My kids loved & ate everything they got! They even ate some of my onion rings despite āhating onionsā!
Before leaving I asked for a to-go cup to pour my leftover root beer float in and the nice woman working the drive thru not only gave me a cup, but also topped it off with more root beer & ice cream! Ummmm, yes please & THANK YOU!
Needless to say, we will definitely make a conscious effort to eat at NuWay, especially the West Central location, sooner...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis will be the last time I go to NuWay the customer service was awful the last time and Even worse this time. Andrea was my host as it says on my ticket 366. Ive only been to NuWay twice in my life so I forgot today that it comes with onion rings. I asked if I could get curly fries the lady in the window got frustrated and said yes and slammed the door as I was still talking to her because my sandwich was wrong as well. Then the man from the kitchen comes gives me a bag full of straight fries. I proceed to tell the man that I need ketchup and he basically tosses it into my hand having packets land on the ground. The customer service was rude and unacceptable for me being a person trying a new fast food restaurant this would not be it. The staff is extremely unfriendly. My other time my host was Margie and my cashier was Andrea and the customer service was still awful. If you do want a Nuway burger id pick a different location because their customer service will make you want to throw the food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like this location - consistently friendly and a good one to show off the NuWay experience to out of towners. We went the day before Easter and were impressed with the level of service we received from beginning to end. My daughter had accidentally jammed her finger in the car door and one of their employees almost immediately got a good-sized pack of ice for her to help ease the pain - and it did the trick! All of this taking place in the midst of a late-lunch rush no less.
The food itself was great, as always, if you're looking for a taste of a niche midwestern food - the crumbly burger / loose meat sandwich. The homemade root beer was also quite good and I always appreciate the frosted mugs they serve it in. Onion rings and curly fries complement the meals quite well.
While they're down to two locations as of this review, I'm glad to see they're still hanging in there. Hoping for many more years of success...
