This one hurts to write. I’ve been a loyal patron at the Nail for 6+ years now. I wanna make one thing clear, for the most part probably one of the better places you can stop in for a good well priced meal and beverage. The people there are always cool the staff is always polite and mostly expedient with how busy it can get in there. However after my last visit I had made a mistake on payment resulting in me essentially paying twice. (my one problem with this bar is me and all my friends do seem to have constant issues being billed twice it has happened probably a dozen times between the four of us) This time was 110% entirely my fault I had filled out and signed the receipt intending on paying cash, idk why but I did I was a lil tipsy that tends to happen at a bar. I told the lady giving me my bill I would be paying cash handed her 2 20s and asked for 10 back my bill was $26 dollars and some change. So after leaving the cash and a filled out receipt it obviously looked like I intended to leave the 30 as a tip. 120% I understand what, why, and how it happen, with 0 intention of getting my money back I decided I would swing by and at least ask if this was something I could get fixed obviously paying 60 dollars opposed to 30 is lame or if I had to swallow the charge (as yes again it was pretty much entirely my fault). So with a completely chilled and relaxed demeanor already accepting that I probably was gonna just have to eat it lesson learned I went in the next day and began speaking with the manger I was politely explaining to her my situation and what I thought had happen, I was going to ask “is this rectifiable or do I just have to eat this as my mistake” unfortunately I didn’t get that far before the manager lady takes an outright rude and aggressive tone shutting me down before I got to ask her my question, and explain I know I made a mistake and I know it’s probably not fixable. again I had no hopes of getting my money back before I went in I MADE A MISTAKE but you’ve gotta ask she decided the best course of action was to condescendingly explain to me the mistakes I made signing the receipt and how I should just take this as a lesson learnt, looked me in the face talking about I know you and I know you can be difficult (I am probably one the chillest and easiest going people you will ever meet I understand the pressure and ridiculousness that can be dealing with the general public specially as a manager I to am an operations manger in charge of spearheading and overseeing the generation of a million plus dollars in revenue a year I know how to deal with leading people and how to deal with difficult clients this was 100% grossly inappropriate, I also don’t want this lady fired that would be a shame and a loss of talent but something has to be done different management should never make customers feel the way I did) I knew all the things she essentially berated me over for 3 minutes. And she would of known that, had she not taken a rude and hostile tone after cutting me off mid explanation, I can be long winded just look at this review so instead of a polite 45 second interaction I got a 3 minute argument with a manager at the bar like AT THE BAR in full view of everyone. I left that bar feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and empty handed. Fortunately there are like 5 other bars within stones throw to go to I would recommend any other one unless you’re into public humiliation and degrading management. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The first time we ordered here (both times through postmates), the food was awesome. The chicken fingers were juicy, the honey mustard they came with was on point. The meatballs were perfect. The Johnny Western Meatball Hoagie was a surprisingly delicious adventure.
When we decide to order again, the food was practically inedible. The chicken fingers were flat and tasted... odd. The breading fell off and revealed a pre cooked chicken cutlet. It looked like they took a grilled chicken piece used for salad that had already been funny cooked and breaded and fried it. That's not a chicken finger, that's garbage. I could have forgiven them the injustice if I had the honey mustard I fell in love with the first time, but alas this time I got ranch dressing and bbq sauce.
We also got the Johnny Western Meatball Hoagie again. This time, they didn't put any meatballs on it, instead they're was a cut up burger patty. The rest of the sandwich was soggy and sad.
Speaking of burgers, we also tried the Double Declan burger. It was essentially a hockey puck on a bun.
Overall, the only thing we were able to eat from our order was the pretzel balls, and they were the only thing that was consistent from one order to the next.
To say we were disappointed would be an understatement, as we were expecting food that was once again the bomb dot com, and got something that not even your grossest school cafeteria would serve. 🤢 If I could post pictures on this review I would, just to share the sadness...
Read moreThey had nice musicians but service was nonexistent. We never got a menu without walking up to wait staff to get one and even after ordering never received our drinks. Idk if they were just busy but it was not an organized system. Thanks for reaching out. We sat outside on the deck. We did speak to 2 different staff members after our drinks were ordered. The first said they would arrive soon and by the time the 2nd came around we just asked to cancel them. We just never got an established waiter. The table next to us has the same issue and left after their drinks were delayed as well since it was still breakfast only at 1230, and they were looking for lunch. I appreciate your offer. We might come back for music another time once we feel comfortable being around wait staff without masks. Thanks again hope that...
