The prices of the drinks are never what is advertised on the menu. Ordered a medium drink that was supposed to be $5.15 but ends up being $5.90 before tax. Asked why the price was different, claimed it was a 3 % surcharge with card. Anyone who can do math knows that 3% of $5.15 is only 15 cents roughly. Then they add a 25 cent ācup feeā. If theyāre going to charge different prices for drinks, they should change their menu to reflect that. Also, every time I come here, thereās never enough ice in the iced drinks and it ends up melting and making the drinks taste watered down or theyāre warm. Honestly, for the money, go to Starbucks across the street and get more for your money and better drinks or go to another local coffee shop in the area. Also I understand the prices of everything has went up, but thatās no excuse for not being transparent with the prices of products and reflecting them on the menu. Iāve been coming here for a while and hoping it would change or get better but it hasnāt so this is the last time Iāll be spending my money here.

A tiny strip of paper saying thereās a 3% surcharge isnāt very clear to people, plus it doesnāt explain why for the drink I ordered, it was over 15 cents. Again, clearly canāt do math. Also, the price for the cup charge and up charge for iced drinks is not specified on the menu. Moreover, I did confront your staff about the charges and they didnāt give me a clear answer. Lastly, given how rude you are as an owner responding to customerās critical reviews, including mine and many others on here, itās no wonder why people go elsewhere. Instead of talking down to people with legitimate criticisms of your business, you should try to improve it to create a better business and experience for everyone. Iāve traveled to almost every state in the US and this is the worst coffee shop Iāve ever been to. I will not be returning and everyone I speak to will know how bad this business is...

I got coffee at the Elkin Taliaās as I was passing through and my coffee wasnāt made right (no hate to the lady at the Elkin Taliaās, I believe she was new and my order was complicated- it was the first time Iāve never had an issue) but I was already on my way back to Wilkes before I realized. I stopped by the Wilkes talia off 421 (Iām a die hard Talia fan lol) and I just mentioned to the lady at the window why I was there (because my first coffee was bad and I was craving it lol) and she jumped into action apologizing and even remade my coffee for me at no charge. She definitely didnāt have to do that as it was a totally different location but she really took charge and fixed it. My coffee was AMAZING and it made my night. I donāt remember her name but she was wonderful. It was Sunday night around 4pm (for record) and she def deserves a shout out for customer service and her coffee making skills cause it...
