The management at this restaurant was one of the worst experiences. I placed a curbside pickup over the phone and was asked if I wanted to to pay for my meal over the phone. I gave the lady my card info and she told me it would be about 30 mins for my food to be ready and to call when I arrived. I arrived and called to let them know I was there and the server comes out to tell me my card declined, which was not possible. I ended up giving them my card in person and they went in and came back out with my food and receipt. I pulled up my bank app and seen where I was charged twice for two different amounts. The manager that was on duty, which I believe was the assistant manager, came out and took my card back in after I showed her my card had been charged twice. She comes back out shortly after and tells me that she cannot find anywhere in their computer system where my card had been charged twice. I end up showing her the actual charges from their exact store on my bank app. She then tells me that maybe after a few days my card will refund my money. A couple days later I call and speak with the general manager Mike and he pulled up my info and seen where my card had been charged twice and that he was going to refund me $25. I called this morning and spoke with the same assistant manager that TRIED to help me out the day I actually picked up my food. I explained to her how I have not got my money back and she instantly becomes rude and tells me that I just need to wait a few more days so I begin to explain how the general manager of the store told me when I should have my money back and to call if I have not received it, which is what I did. The manager I spoke with today ends up hanging up on me out of nowhere after arguing with me and basically saying this wasn’t a problem in her eyes. I immediately call back and asked for their stores number and how I can speak to corporate because she deliberately hung up on me when I’m calling about the money their restaurant OWES me. She denies hanging up on me and then proceeds to tell me she doesn’t have to give me her name nor their store number/info and begins to argue back with me when I said as a manger she has to give me this info because I’m calling to file a complaint. The woman hangs up on me again! I’ve worked in restaurants before and know how this goes. I know your restaurant will see this review and I have called cooperate at my own will and told them everything that has happened at this store. I WILL not be back to his Olive Garden. Your assistant manager I spoke with this morning on September 23, 2020 is the worse representation of “management” I have ever encountered. It...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I both work in the service industry in back and front of house. I have never been more dissatisfied and with the service from any restaurant in my life. To start the restaurant was busy but not packed and when we walked up to the host stand to be seen the two hosts sat there arguing about where to seat the two of us when the young lady who would eventually be our server came to the host stand and proceeded to have a low level hissy fit about people being seated in her section. Once we were seated our server came up to us and did not introduce herself and was extremely short and somewhat rude about the whole interaction. My girlfriends order was wrong the first time it was brought out and the manager stepped after we had not been seen for about 10 minutes to switch the soup. Our drinks ran empty multiple times and after our food was brought out we never saw our server again unless she was tending to the two other tables that were next to us without acknowledging our existence. Once the correct food was brought out we had no issues with that. The food was hot and was consistent with other Olive Garden locations. Once we had finished our food we waited about 30-45 minutes to be seen again by the manager who was an absolute lifesaver and super helpful and gave us a free dessert for our troubles. All in all I’m kind of shocked at the rude attitude of the server. I understand that the restaurant is short staffed. We all are and I know it’s an issue but the sheer lack of professionalism shown by everyone we interacted with except for the manager was astounding. Wish I could give a half star...
Read moreMy wife absolutely love Olive Garden. I've been taking her to various OG's for 20+ years now. I can tolerate it, but never been a big fan. We went, us and our 2 kids, for Dinner Saturday night in Wilkesboro as a treat to her. This was far and away the worst food we have ever had at Olive Garden. My wife always gets the chicken fettuccini alfredo with Broccoli and this time was no exception. She quite literally ate 3 bites and couldn't eat any more. I got the rigatoni with mushroom sauce and meatballs, which I had gotten the last time we ate here several months prior (very good food that trip). The sauce was watery and the meatballs were awful. The waitress thankfully took the charge off for the meatballs and told me they were frozen, they also tasted and looked like turkey meatballs. The salad and breadsticks were good, like usual, but everything else was very bad. My wife told me in the car as we left, "well, I guess you don't have to take me back to Olive Garden anymore". so it kind of worked out for me. I was just shocked at how the quality had gone down in the months between out visits. The previous dining experience was great! The wife and I ordered the same dishes and had leftovers that we looked forward to eating for lunch the next day. This trip, however, did not leave us wanting more. I seriously hope you figure out the quality issues. If you're going to charge $20+ for pasta dishes, they better compete with local restaurants quality. This food definitely did...
