Response to owners: yes. You guys finally agreed to replace it however as my husband brought to your attention yet you failed to mention in your snarky remark….your online menu?…. MAKES NO MENTION OF HAM. Maybe if you’re going to stand on that argument all of your menus should consistently say the same. Good day to you. I’m sorry if you learned Italian cooking from your heritage. I was trained by a chef in Italy. I assure you….it’s not authentic however, you keep doing you. It seems enough people around here do t notice. No loss to you and certainly no loss to our family…you won’t have to worry about us again. Once was enough to know that we wish you the best but choose to go elsewhere.
Update: The only way the owner would replace my husbands meal was my husband saying he’d make it a day of standing outside telling others how poor the food is. They did replace his meal, but it was still NOT a proper piccata. Where was the lemon butter CAPER sauce?….he still couldn’t eat it. We tried feeding it to our dogs and even they wouldn’t eat the bland tasteless food. I’d be willing to come teach you guys how to cook authentic dishes. It’s pathetic how far off base you guys are.
I would have been able to eat my meal…sort of. Italian marinara has garlic in it. This was plain tomato sauce. So gross tasting on bland pasta. I suggest investing in some garlic and other spices….maybe even search google for authentic Italian recipes. Now….My husband was not able to eat his at all. We are Muslim, and he ordered chicken piccata as his part of our to go order. It was completely covered with ham. Who puts ham in their chicken piccata? He is going tomorrow to return his entire entree and request it be made properly. Theyre already closed by the time we got home, so I couldn’t even call them. Ham is not in chicken piccata. Ugh.I’ve seen other reviews where the manager/owners argue and won’t fix their mistakes. Let’s see if they’ve improved their customer service tomorrow. If not I’ll be changing my review and reporting them for not fixing food properly when there are certain dietary restrictions. Whoever gives this place higher than 2 stars were either paid to leave good reviews OR have never eaten ACTUAL Italian food. Millions of Italians are rolling over in their graves for every plate of this...
Read moreI was pretty happy with the food at this place, but the service was frustrating and I wouldn't recommend it or return personally. We got the special of the day, blackened chicken lasagna (my father thought it looked more like a burrito when it came out but it was pretty good) and it was reasonably priced at about $10, not huge but it came with warm bread with oil and spices and a soup or salad (allegedly?), so it was filling. Only the waitress really didn't speak English and was completely inept. Everything we said seemed to confuse her, and that showed up on the bill at the end. We got charged an extra $1 for soup- so they explained it when we complained, though there was NOTHING on the menu or anywhere saying there would be an upcharge. Every meal said "comes with soup or salad" plain as day, but they just shrugged at us. And the waitress completely misunderstood my father asking if he could have it with red sauce instead of white sauce and covered the dish in white sauce AND brought this large bowl of red sauce on the side- and charged us $4! Sigh. It was a frustrating ending to the meal, and we tried to talk to the manager but they would not budge. A restaurant needs to have good food, and I would honestly say they did, but service matters too, and they really...
Read moreMy husband and I came in around 8:15 pm. It was not very busy, maybe two or three tables full but we still waited about five minutes to be seated. Waitress was friendly enough, and answered our questions about the menu. I ordered veggie lasagna, and my husband ordered fettucine alfredo. My lasagna was pretty good, not spectacular, but good. My husband thought the alfredo sauce was oddly thin, and the desserts we ordered were tiny, though they cost six dollars each. His cheesecake slice was about 2 inches wide. Server did admit they were not made in-house. One of the servers shut off their open sign at 8:53 pm, in spite of their listed closing time of 9:15 on their shop sign and they were still not busy! When we paid, we could see into the kitchen behind the counter and there was a jar of Ragu Alfredo Sauce on the counter. Ok tasting food, but for the price and the quality of ingredients, not worth it. I can get Ragu and cheesecake like that at Wal Mart. I would have given them another try, and ordered pizza next time, because we may have caught them on a bad night, but when I read the angry and unprofessional responses to the negative reviews on here, I rated 2 stars instead of 3 and that is why we will...
