Leona's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Wilkinsburg

I wanted to like these so bad 😭, as a person whose lactose intolerant I literally appreciate what y’all are doing so much, believe me!

Pros: lactose free

Cons:

1. eating experience is really not good and there’s a lot a room for improvement. The sandwich is so hard that when you go to take a bite it just kinda of crumbles and the ice cream slides out.

2. location, I was unsure of where to actually go to pick up the ice cream. Usually when a business has a location on google maps you just drive there and that’s that, but apparently they don’t have location so I had to figure that out by reading their responses in other peoples reviews. A simple addition to this locations title like (wholesale only) or (corporate office) would’ve helped steer me in the right direction.

I love what this business is doing and think they can be a winner if they improve the eating experience of their sandwich and tighten up customer experience for people who don’t originally just find them in a store

I had Leonas ice cream sandwiches as the dessert for my outdoor spring wedding. My now husband and I both LOVE ice cream and when we decided that's what we wanted to have for our special day I knew Leonas was the choice. We got to pick from SO many of their delicious seasonal flavors - narrowing it down was the hardest part! They were SO detailed and thorough in helping me ensure the sandwiches were served appropriately. All of our guests RAVED about how perfect the ice cream was for the day and how delicious they were. It was a hilarious bonus that the pre-wrapped treats were much more portable than a slice of cake - MANY of them made it out onto the dance floor! Couldn't recommend them more as a DELICIOUS and super fun addition...
