Cook’s Burger Bar is a true gem and one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the theming. it has the perfect balance of retro charm and modern style. The atmosphere is inviting and fun, making it a great spot for families or anyone who just loves a good meal in a stylish setting. The staff deserves a mention right away. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Even though the restaurant was busy, they took the time to answer questions and check in on us, which made the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. Now for the food... wow! The Brussels sprouts were nothing short of incredible. Crispy, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly, they were hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I could’ve made a meal just out of those. We also tried the Farmer’s Fries, and they were excellent. I love that they’re cooked in tallow, giving them a unique flavor and a lighter, less greasy feel than typical fries. The burgers, though, are the real stars here. I ordered the Classic Burger, and I have to say it’s the best burger I’ve ever eaten, juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. My mom went with the Southern Pub Burger and agreed it was probably the best she’s ever had as well. Her highlight was the fried green tomato were thin and not thick. My dad ordered the Mushroom and Swiss and, although he didn’t say much, he finished every bite without stopping, always a good sign! Even the kids’ menu impressed us. My youngest had the mac and cheese, which came with Goldfish crackers, applesauce, and a small serving of fries. She loved every bit of it and felt special with her own fun little meal. The drinks didn’t disappoint either. The sweet tea was fresh and perfectly sweetened it tasted like it was made with care, not from a mix. Overall, Cook’s Burger Bar delivers on every level: atmosphere, service, and food. The portions are generous, the quality is top-notch, and the prices are very fair for what you get. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re anywhere nearby, this is a must-try spot.

Stumbled across this little place while visiting Williamsburg for our daughters birthday. They were busy and there was a little bit of a wait. However they have a little QR code that you scan to join the waitlist. It updates regularly and they send a text when the table is ready. It was a Friday night and again very busy . When we first joined the waitlist, it was a 35 minute wait . And we definitely did not wait anywhere close to 35 minutes! It was more like 15. Understandable for a busy night .The atmosphere was awesome! Super cozy and inviting while maintaining that family friendly vibe. The staff were super welcoming and friendly! Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when helping us decide our orders. The food was out FAST! We all ordered burgers. They were pure perfection! Chefs kiss! Yall the food was bangin’! Omg and the milkshakes! 🤤 Sooooo good! I can’t recommend this place enough! This will definitely be our new go to spot for food every time we visit Williamsburg! We will be back and we’ll be bringing the whole family!

Attempted to dine here and was unfortunate with experience. Soda was under sweet, and not as "bubbly" as most. Ordered the "Reuben" as there is a boast on the menu... First bite from edge was dry, dull, and unpalatable... Next was the potato salad, which I am happy to say is very well done. Presentation, texture, taste were all very good. I debated going back to try a different area of the Reuben (as in the center), but the second bite again was met with an overwhelming rancid flavor. The resteraunt looks busy, and prices for area seem appropriate. I am confident others will appreciate local spices. I did not care for the Chefs "bird against the world" picture on the wall. I hope this restaraunt does well in the days ahead and takes a look at my " perspective", but a solid no thank you.

We arrived at the restaurant around 6:35 and we were told it’d be a 10 minute wait but we weren’t seated until 7:18. I’m not blaming this on the establishment; I know that the wait time simply depends on when customers leave. I just wanted to include it so that people would know that time slot is busy at this location. It was the ending of the dinner rush so it was still very packed.

We visited with 4 adults and a baby. The atmosphere was great! Everything was incredibly clean and refined. Once seated our server, Nicholas, was phenomenal. He was very attentive and charismatic, giving us tips on the menu and helping us order. His service sealed the 10/10 experience. The food was amazing, hot and flavorful. I’m not a huge fan of burgers but I was pleasantly surprised.

Around 8pm the restaurant started to die down and tables started emptying, so that’s a much better time to visit. There’s also a pool table in the back which makes this the perfect place to go with a group of friends, order some good food and just hang out. I’m not surprised the wait time was longer than expected; we didn’t want to...
