The atmosphere at this restaurant is different, in a good way. It doesn't seem to have a specific theme, but it's cute and very inviting. Don't let the location or the exterior fool you—the food here is fantastic!
My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, and he absolutely loved it. It was packed with flavor and really hit the spot. My daughter had the Belgian waffle, which was delicious, but I was a bit disappointed that it cost $9 for just the waffle, with an additional charge for sausage and eggs. It felt like a little too much for a single waffle. I ordered the Quesadilla Rellena with chicken, and it was amazing—flavorful and filling. It came with beans that were wonderful, but the rice was a miss for me. It tasted a bit like instant rice, not fresh. My son got the chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes, which were really good.
Service overall was solid. The manager made sure we were taken care of, though I did notice that the adult plates came out before the kids' meals, which led to some impatient little ones. Only two out of three kids' plates came out at first, but the waitress quickly addressed it and assured us the last plate was on the way.
We will definitely be back! Despite the full parking lot, we were seated right away, and the space inside is quite roomy. This...
Read moreI visited Sandy’s (8/14/25) and had a wonderful experience. The food was very good, and my server, Jhon (not a misprint), was both nice and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable.
I ordered Sandy’s Combo ($14.00), I chose the pancakes (blueberry), two perfectly cooked eggs over easy, 2 sausage patties, and a side of toast ($3.00). The pancakes were a highlight—light, flavorful, and bursting with fresh blueberry sweetness. They put fresh blueberries on top. The eggs were cooked just right, with yolks that were perfectly runny, and the toast was crisp and warm. While the sausage patties were a bit on the thin side, they still had a savory, well-seasoned flavor that paired nicely with the rest of the meal.
The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a pancake house in the Williamsburg area. Large seating/dining area with neutral colors. Most importantly, it seems very clean. Clean carpets, not sticky, and seats in good shape. For that, I give it 4 stars.
The bill does comes with a total and a "pay with cash" total that is a little less. For me that difference was .91¢ I'm assuming they're passing the card transaction fee onto the customer.
Overall, Sandy’s delivered a satisfying breakfast with great service....
Read moreHorrible experience. I tried this restaurant several years ago and it was very poor quality. I ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were hard and the sausage for the gravy, was cut up sausage links. For Father's Day, my sister wanted to try this place again. As soon as you walk in, it smells moldy/musty. The bathrooms were disgusting. Our server was nowhere to be found most of the time. We never got drink refills. We wanted to pass along that my son's hot chocolate tasted like water, but our server never came back. My husband got the breakfast burrito, but it was no more than the size of a quesadilla and not tasty at all. We also had to flag down someone else to find our server to get our check. Such a terrible experience and we will...
