Don't let the name - or the location - fool you. This place is a hidden gem! While visiting Williamsburg, my wife found a coupon in one of the magazines that they give you when checking into the hotel, and she picked Larry's for dinner tonight, and I'm glad she did. From the outside, it looks like a regular pizzeria in a strip mall (in fact, I think there's Chinese take-out next door!). Step inside and there are a small number of tables, along with a counter for pick-up's, etc. "Seat yourself" one of the other patrons told us, so we picked a booth in the back corner. Unfortunately, there were several flies all over the window, so my daughter wanted no part of that table. Thankfully another booth was open, and we grabbed that one - all was clean, and no flies! The young man who waited on us (I didn't catch his name) was extremely pleasant and took our drink orders very quickly. We all placed our orders (3 dinner entree's and a pizza). The entree's came with a salad and garlic knots. The salad was surprisingly good. Had a little slice of salami and provolone cheese in it which gave it a nice twist. The garlic knots were fantastic! Soft and full of garlic without being over the top. Now, here's the best part... before we were even done eating our knots, our entree's come out of the kitchen. The restaurant wasn't packed, but it wasn't empty either, so the timing of the food coming out was super-fast. First entrée - cheese ravioli's. Cheese filling was very creamy, and very tasty, and was just the right amount of ravioli's. Second entrée - spaghetti with sausage. Spaghetti was cooked just right and not overdone with too much sauce. We asked for the sausage to be cooked well-done and they came out perfect! Third entrée - chicken parm. I've had lots of chicken parm in my life, and this one was up there! It came with spaghetti and I stole the sausages from my daughter's dinner and that combo was amazing!! Final entrée was a medium cheese pizza. My son took a bite of the pizza and exclaimed "oh my god this is so good!". He eats lots of pizza, and rated this one higher than our normal pizza joint back home, which is impressive.

All in all - the dinners were great. Very flavorful and piping hot. Service was excellent - our server was polite, friendly and attentive. The ambience is what it is - don't expect violinists strolling around or some over-priced flatware or cloth napkins - I suggest you look past all of that as the real beauty is in the quality of their dinners. We will definitely return to Larry's the next time we're in...

We were ready to shout it to Thomas Nelson and Warhill staff and students that we found a great Italian place. We had such great expectations for this place. Alas it was a disappointment with every dish we ordered. The calamaris tiny little rings in a tasteless batter. (See my picture ) when the rings are smaller than the lemon there is something wrong. The fishbait calamari I use is larger than this. We ordered two calzones. After taking the first bite what is suppose to be pizza dough taste like white bread dough. No chewiness or bite to it. Okay so if the taste of the filling is good maybe we can look around this. No, it was seasonless filling that is hardly there. I cut the calzones open (at eleven dollars a pop) and take a picture of filling that doesn't reach the ends and you can see a fewe pieces of meat and veggies. Unacceptable does the management taste and look at its product? Moving on to my hopes held high for the chicken Parmigiano. Sadly no not anything I would buy again. The calzones went to my dog. I hope their breakfast is better would like to go by and try it out and write a different review. Until then I wouldn't want anyone to spend...

The food is decent but confused on the concept. When you walk in they advertise mexican food also. They have started serving breakfast which is also decent in taste and price. Not an authentic italian resturant. The downfall to this place is the customer service. It took 45 mins to pick up my to go order that was ready in 15 mins. The guy who is charge of cashing people out was very nice but had no urgency and did not listen to payment instructions. They had two other ladies there but neither were able to help except to bring food to tables. The customers who had eaten in the resturant also came up to the window because they had been waiting forever for the check. He stopped helping me to take care of them and that turned out to be another ten minute wait on my end. Definite need for training...

A hidden gem with a price point that seems almost unfair to the presentation of food one receives. The location has tight parking shared in a strip mall with a us post office and paint store etc. The restaurant is small and very tight. The tables are arranged in a big 90 degree angle or L shape with the right angle being the front doors focal point. When I went, it was very busy. We used a heightchair for my child but it was pretty tight space wise. I also felt it was a little warm in the place with all the people inside. I hope they continue to keep prices low as it was a real selling point. Not much on the .enue was over $13. Keep up the good work! I had the Linguine at Larry's and it was very good.

This was the first time I have been to Larry's Italian Restaurant. I sat in a booth, looked at the specials on the wall and ordered a $2 beer. That's right...a variety of drafts, including local breweries for only 2 bucks. It's a good start when you are thirsty and hungry. The dinner included warm garlic knots with a perfect balance of garlic and butter. A crisp cool and fresh lettuce salad with blue cheese dressing is what I have been looking for. My main dish was baked spaghetti with meat sauce. Each forkful was steaming hot and delicious and I knew it was much more than I could eat. That's alright though, I took it home and enjoy it again latter.
