Virginia Peninsula Community College — Local services in Williamsburg

This was my first semester. I had good professors. The finance services, however are horrendous.

After registering for the Spring 2016 semester, I got an email from the Tuition Management Systems Cashier telling me that payment was due December 4th. I contacted Student Services to confirm this, however they told me not to worry, that I only had to sign up for a /payment plan/ by the 4th and payment would not be due until the 20th. I signed up for the payment plan on the 1st.

I received a second email on the 2nd from TMS telling me the same thing: "Payment is due 12/4, or your classes may be dropped." I contacted Student Services AGAIN to confirm this, but they still told me to ignore the email. I was convinced.

On 12/18, I went to My VCCS to see what the enrollment fee would be, as I was told after signing up for the payment plan, I would need to pay an enrollment fee before money for payment could be automatically taken out of my account on the 20th. Lo and behold, my classes had been dropped. Payment was obviously due on 12/4.

Thomas Nelson IS NOT ON BOARD with TMS. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at this school. Through no fault of my own, two of the classes I had which worked in perfect harmony together are closed, and now if I wish to go full time, half of my classes will have to be evening classes, which is unacceptable.

For the most part I have had a very pleasant experience at this campus. I do find it very difficult to study in the library because one of the female employees is constantly laughing whenever I go in there.
