I just went into the McDonalds in Williamsburg IA to grab a quick meal for my daughter and I. My daughter ordered a signature burger and the cashier asked her if she wanted grilled or breaded. My daughter said she wanted the burger not the chicken. The gal just stared at my daughter so my daughter said grilled. She of course got a chicken sandwich instead of a burger. I went back to counter to get it corrected and the manager helped me. While I was waiting for the correct sandwich I watched another employee scrape shake toppings off of a counter into a shake cup and then add more toppings from the topping container and make a shake. She then went to serve it to a customer. I told the manager what I had seen and he looked unsure of what to do. Finally told the employee to bring the shake to him. She turned and said “I don’t know what she’s talking about but I will remake it”. She then set it on the counter. I left. I wish I had stayed to see if she actually remade it or served it when I turned my back. I will never go to this...

I stopped for lunch today 6/20/25, I witnessed probably one of the rudest crew leaders I could imagine step to the counter and command the customers to use the kiosks as they weren't going to be waited on at the cash register. Most of those in line were older folks, some like myself prefer to use cash when possible. One gentleman even said multiple times, I don't have a card with me, only cash, he was basically ignored. As a former McDonald's employee from the 80s and 90s I was appalled both by the rudeness on display, and the attitude of this crew leader. McDonald's, and the crew leader of the Williamsburg Iowa McDonald's, you are not doing your customers any favors by existing, the customers are doing you a favor by choosing to spend money at your place of business. But hey, you're on an extremely busy interstate highway, thousands of unsuspecting people walking through your doors to be disappointed by rude and worse than substandard treatment by what likely passes for management.
