Went expecting a Maid Rite here and instead found this upgrade in cuisine! It was a nice change of pace from your typical fast food along the road. Homemade Italian food was legit. I got a fresh, made from scratch Calzone that was hot and mouth wateringly delicious. Decor is your classic diner look with some Iowa flare. Friendly, family run place. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for something hearty and filling. Plus, the Amana Colonies wine shop is right next door if you're looking to taste some local wines.

It was our first time here and we LOVED it. Got an all meat pizza and it was SO delicious. With the Garlic Parmesan crust! The wings tasted good as well. They weren’t small at all! Don’t forget to get a chocolate chip cookie before you leave. Honestly BEST chocolate chip cookie I ever had, it was right out of the oven as well!! Family owned business, they were so friendly totally recommend.

Pizza was ok, bread sticks were very thin and extremely tough. It was like they were microwaved. The wings? Well they tasted ok but really, $8 for 6 of the smallest wings I have ever seen. You should adjust your prices or adjust your portions. Total bill $45 for 2 small pizzas, 1 small bread sticks, and 6 wings. Sticker shock for sure. I expect far more that kind of cash.

Disappointed for a couple of reasons We stopped because this location used to be a Maidrite. That was the major disappointment, which does not account for the 2 star rating.

The person managing was high energy and friendly, but she couldn't seemed to follow my order. I wanted garlic bread with my spagetti. I had to order a group size for $7.50 to get garlic bread, which is incredible if you're serving italian food. When it came, it was evident that it was just a plain pizza crust cut into strips, with a container of garlic butter. It was bad.

The special came with a salad, which was pretty pathetic. Small amount of iceburg with watery diced tomatoes. Had to wait to get the right dressing.

The spagetti special was pretty bland and the parmeson cheese shaker was retrieved from the freezer when we mentioned looking for some. I ended up paying $20+ for mostly inedible food when all I wanted was a maidrite. I hope they get their act together soon - that's a...

While traveling on I-80 we stopped in the Amanas for Maid-Rites and found it had been replaced by Pino’s Sicilian Pizzeria. We decided to give it a try and were instantly welcomed by the owner and guided through the menu offerings (since we were new to the place). We’re were a party of four, who tried different sandwiches and a calzone which were all delicious! The sandwich bread was made in the restaurant and the fillings were fresh. My daughter said it was the best calzone she had ever had. We topped off the meal with some great hard-pack ice cream and a huge fresh chocolate chip cookie. Will definitely be coming back here again to have the pizza!! If you’re in the area and want an authentic Sicilian flavor you should stopped by this place. You will be treated like family and won’t be disappointed...
