Mexican food isn't my favorite but this brightly colored, unassuming, small buildings that I've passed many times with barely a notice is worth noticing! I had the lunch chili rellano. It was the best I've ever tasted. Their rice is perfect, the chips have a darker fry than most restaurants do which makes them even more awesome! I prefer a warm salsa but it still was delicious. My friend had a taco salad & said the shell was freshly cooked, not hours old fried waiting to be used. I was extremely happy we stopped and would make the 30 mile drive to eat there again. I’m VERY big on leaving reviews everywhere I go and trying new places. Well today we tried here for the FIRST time. Needless to say we won’t be going back. We ordered the queso and it taste like can cheese, the chips were stale and tasted like they were left out all night or something. They charge $1 per water (bottle) and only have can sodas which they also charge per each. My husband got the tacos and it had no seasoning whatsoever. He ordered flour tortillas and got corn. I really enjoyed this place. The food is fantastic. The portions are VERY filling! The staff was very kind. Very family friendly. I seriously can't think of a single down side. If you're curious, and want to try something new, go here. Tex-mex restaurants are a dime a dozen in texas, but this place is a hidden gem you'll rarely find anywhere.
