Brenda couldn't explain my new account to me... between the mumbling and the very strange abrupt pauses and then starting on another subject I left out of there only knowing I couldn't close the account I just opened or they would penalize me$$$... I tried to sign up for online banking and of course the only people who could help me are the folks at any branch (per the girl on the phone). I came in 7/6/21 and stood in line for approximately 15 minutes while one teller helped people and two other tellers looked at the computer in some sort of disbelief. Shawn or Sean or however he spells it was opening an account and assured me he wouldn't be helping any other customers because he was too busy... not 'wait just a moment' he told the teller he was going to be too busy to help anybody else... I just opened an account 4 days ago... I know exactly how long it takes to have an account opened 🙄. I assured him I would receive help and I'm happy to wait. He tried everything to get me on some computer (that I have already tried.. to no avail) instead of just helping me... why does this branch lack customer service? Who in their right mind with a job in customer service treats a customer this way? Why has nothing been done about all the other very bad reviews? Does customer service matter to woodforest? Why was this made to be harder then it needed too be? Shawn or Sean has a blatant bad attitude and a very unpleasant disposition to go with his bad attitude... complacency is a terrible thing and it shows in the customer service provided at the woodforest in Montgomery Texas. My only regret is that I cannot close this new account with incurring a financial penalty! After a different employee helped me Shh Awe or Sean assured two other customers he would be a minute as he was busy... just WOW!
edit I guess they saw this review and called me (Sean or Shawn) in the middle of a work day to see how I liked my account...
edit Still don't have access to a check deposited 5 days ago... Why can't I utilize my own money woodforest? Why is everything penalized? Now I understand why you charge people to...
Read moreFor the most part, this specific location is tolerable. However.....I tend to ALWAYS have an issue with one older teller, she constantly questions my deposits. Which I make frequently due to running a business. Will say she will place holds on deposits which other tellers never do. The employee we opened the business account with specifically told us that the average hold for business accounts are 1 day. This specific teller will even question if I’m on a shared account. Even with my ID in her possession. I’m assuming because I didn’t change my name (my maiden name is on both my account and my ID) but If she did her job....she would see it’s a shared about and I have had Woodforest since 2007. Again, this special locations is tolerable and I really don’t mind it. But when I hear her voice I know I will leave unable to deposit anything because she questions me ever single time. How convenient that when she does, the manager isn’t available. Poor poor customer service with only...
Read moreI brought my 85 year old dad here that has been banking there for over 20 years. He recently sold a property and carries a very large balance there. When we came in the only girl working the desks and not the actual bank lobby ignored us until another lady asked if she could help us. She said in front of us that she would rather not she was working on something. But then she decided to help us.
They won’t do any personal banking over the phone either. We have accounts with other small hometown banks like Bedias National Bank and we are always treated promptly and can do many transactions over the phone.
I will never bank at a “big bank” again.
The other thing is that if you have a money market account with over $100,000 they will charge you $25 if you go over 6 transactions a month. Love that banks want to charge you to use your money. Ridiculous....
