My wife and I decided to stop in for breakfast this Saturday morning at The Patio Café. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing compared to the good lunches I’ve had delivered from here in the past.
I ordered the waffle plate with two eggs and crispy bacon. The Belgian waffle came out hot and fresh, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. However, the eggs were cold, which took away from the overall plate. The flavor was fine otherwise, but the temperature issue was hard to overlook.
My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy plate with hash browns and two eggs over easy. This dish was a real letdown. Her eggs were also cold, the hash browns tasted old, oily, greasy, and were served cold. The gravy itself was decent, but it was poured over a cold biscuit, which cooled everything down—including the sausage in the gravy.
Service also left much to be desired. It seemed that our food had been sitting on the counter, which might explain why it arrived cold. On top of that, no condiments were brought with our plates. Only after setting the food down did the waitress ask if we wanted syrup, butter, or ketchup. We said yes, but then had to wait several minutes while she and three other servers stood around chatting. By the time condiments arrived, the food was even colder under the air conditioner.
Based on my previous positive lunch experiences here, I believe this poor breakfast was less about the kitchen and more about inattentive service. Sadly, it ruined what could have been a nice Saturday morning breakfast out.
Overall: • Food quality: Good flavor potential, but badly compromised by being served cold. • Service: Unprofessional and inattentive. • Value: Not worth it for the experience we had.
I hope this was just an off day, but based on today’s visit, I left very...
Read moreFirst visit, yesterday for lunch. We've driven past this place a thousand times and always wondered why there was nobody there. But I saw the good reviews so figured it was worth a shot. The place is nice enough, but way too large- cavernous interior, so even with a modest crowd it felt empty. The patio is indeed pretty nice, but it's right on noisy 105 so I opted to stay inside despite the beautiful weather. The menu is gigantic- like an old fashioned diner, everything from breakfast all day to a full Mexican slate, to soup, sandwiches, salads- you name it. I figured a burger and fries would be a fair test. Overall the food was just....okay. As you'll see in my picture, the presentation was god-awful. I was turned off before I took the first bite. The burger itself was fine- nothing special but nothing wrong. Comparay to a Whataburger, but twice as expensive. The fries, requested crispy, were in fact very good, despite their bland appearance in the photo. Overall, this would be worth visiting if you're hungry and can't decide what you want until you see it on the menu. But for each specialty genre, there are better restaurants...

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. It’s genuinely shocking that this place is even operating. My pregnant wife and I were forced to move tables and chairs ourselves — while four to six employees stood behind the counter watching us struggle and did nothing.
They didn’t lift a finger to help. They didn’t even acknowledge us. Every single worker looked completely stoned, clueless, and incapable of doing even the basics of their job. It honestly felt like walking into a daycare where the kids were left alone to run the place.
We were preparing for a large party to come dine here — meaning the owner lost out on a huge ticket today because of the sheer incompetence of this crew. I don’t know if it was drugs, laziness, or just complete stupidity, but what I do know is that whoever was on shift today should be fired immediately.
If the owner has any intention of keeping this business alive, every single person on that shift needs to be replaced. No training will fix this level of...
