Dabeno's Bistro — Restaurant in Williston

I used to love this place. We would go here twice a week after long stressful days. We have stopped going here as much due to all the summer activities.

In the last four visits the hostess has been rude. She just has an attitude if you ask for a booth or request a special table.

The food's not flavored like it used to be. I'm guessing they switch cooks or just don't care. Very sad because this was the best steak place in Williston!

When you ordered appetizers and they come out with your meal. Side note, it is an appetizer and it should come out first.

So last night when I went to order, I told the waitress specifically that I want the duck wings as an appetizer. I would like it before the meal. I definitely made sure she understood that. Then explained that it has happened in the past.

The waitress did not ring it in that way, about 35 to 40 minutes later she came right before our food was ready and said oh I'm sorry I forgot to order it for an appetizer. At that point I had told the waitress that I do not want the duck wings.

She's still brought out the duck wings and held my girlfriend's and my $150.. dinner In the window under the heat lamp until I was done with my duck wings.. Need less to say we all know what happens when your food sits 15 minutes under a heat lamp.

There was a drunken guy at the bar. He was there for over 5 hours, I know because he said it like three times! He fell out of his chair and they kept serving him. He literally was the only person sitting at the bar hanging out with his bartender friend. Every other word out of his mouth was F this, that mother F'er! Sad part is they let him drive home drunk.

The customer service and hospitality here has just gone downhill. Not worth spending $200+ on this type of environment

Okay, we decided to try this place out. We ordered more than we usually would just so we could try things out.

My husband got the ribeye meal, shrimp scampi and Mac and cheese.

I got the ribeye meal along with a lobster tail.

Mac N Cheese tasted a little starchy and the noodles were not soft. Weird texture to the cheese and had parmesan (I believe) up on top. Thin and runny sauce. You can even tell from the photo. Wasn’t the best.

Shrimp Scampi tasted okay. It could use more flavor. However, nice big sized shrimp.

Potatoes were not bad. Seasoned pretty good.

Steaks…….. mine lacked flavor but it wasn’t bad. I ate it with no issue. I didn’t try my husbands but he said his tasted like water. My cut of steak was better than his. See photos.

Lobster tasted fresh and I enjoyed it. The butter sauce they gave to go along with it was pretty good as well.

$135.00 for all that is pictured. Three meals with two add ons and one paid for drink. The lobster was a nice size, steaks were great size and shrimps were great size. I feel we got moneys worth. Just wish the flavor popped a little more.

Clean establishment, waitresses seemed pretty busy but that’s to be expected since they are so new. Food came out in a reasonable time. They worked hard to get tables set up and cleaned up to fit all who came in.

Would I go back? Yes! Perhaps for a Sandwich or burger or something. I’ll leave the steak seasoning and grilling to my husband and the baked Mac n cheese for...

This vibes high end dive bar if such a thing exists. The green light over the bar area is very off putting. The tables and booths were quite romantic. We ordered duck wings as the appetizer which were extremely over cooked and difficult to chew off the bone. They reminded me of $5 wings at a dive bar. The pasta with steak was edible,but not delicious. The steak was dry and a low quality cut. The duck breast was overcooked and the bacon was all you could taste. It was difficult to tell if I was actually eating duck. It was dry,mealy and the delicate flavour you normally would associate with duck was completely covered by salt and bacon. My asparagus wasn't trimmed on the ends so there were woody ends that weren't edible on it that had to be left on the plate. The dishes weren't balanced in flavour or texture either. It left you feeling confused on where the chef was trying to go with the dish. It was just so disappointing food wise. If this were advertised as a bar with bar food prices I wouldn't have thought it was too terrible. However advertising it as a bistro with high end prices is pretty terrible.
