Came into town for a basketball tournament and googled places to eat in Williston. We made a special stop here before heading back home and we were unfortunately disappointed. We were a table of 4 adults and 2 kids.
We ordered the following: Tortilla Soup BBQ Pork Sandwich Corral Burger 14 oz Ribeye Kids Cheeseburger Kids Quesadilla Big Awesome Dessert
The food portions were large and priced well. The food came out fast, but the taste was nothing extraordinary. The decorations were fun to look at.
The service was slacking. Our waitress, B.J.C., forgot our water 4 times, it actually became quite comical. She would bring the beer out to my dad, and we would remind her that we needed a water each time and she would casually say "yes, will definitely get that", "won't forget this time" "ok yes". We could clearly see her standing in front of the workstation and tried to wave her down several times. My mother finally got her water when dessert was brought out.
I also ordered the margarita, (I think it was called the Roadside Margarita?) it wasn't the Huckle Berry flavored one. I specifically picked it because it didn't sound as sweet as it advertised fresh lime and orange juices. Unfortunately, it was VERY sweet and I just knew it wouldn't be worth the headache. I asked the server if I could have a beer instead. She took the margarita back and I got a Shiner Bock.
The bill comes and my father gets the bill. They were nice enough to discount my dad's steak for a military discount (both dad and husband in the military), but my margarita was on the bill along with my beer. I am not usually one to complain but I already was quite annoyed with the service. I hate when they bring you the bill and they hover over you while waiting for their tip. I asked about taking my margarita off the bill. She went away and came back stating "Ya he won't take it off the bill since it was drank" Wow, what? The two sips of me and my husband trying the drink? The drink that you took away? That whole interaction definitely left a sour taste behind.
We tipped over 20% in cash because we have all worked in the service industry.
If you're googling where to eat in Williston, this ain't it! We had awesome food, margaritas and service just down the road at the Williston...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy children and I went on a friday,Our waitress was awesome trying to keep us fed.I can't say they same about the management. We went there at 5:30 pm for dinner, and they had another couple there, and that was about it.we were enjoying our appetizer when a bunch of loud drunks walked over from the bar and started up a conversation with a table by us.Soon there were 10 people standing there drinking and having adult conversations, that I am embarrassed to repeat. My children and I couldn't hear each other talking at the table. The waitress kept weaving in and out and around them, they never moved. We asked for a desert menu and our check,my children didn't want to stay to eat their desert. The overwhelming conversations, and the over powering smell of the liquor was to much. The waitress, said I'm sorry I will let the manager know.15 min later the manager brings us our desert and asked if we wanted to move,I said no,we have been hear awhile and just wanted them to lower their voices. Her response was was I'm sorry they are regulars, and theirs nothing I can do.She didn't even want to go and talk to them.I feel a a paying customer and a regular customer that that was extremely rude and un professional. Other tables just got up and left. She replied I'm not charging you for the desert. That's it.We will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, what kind of poor management skills are we displaying when at 6 pm on a Saturday. You are out of mashed and baked potatoes! And Walmart is literally 200 yards away. I worked in several restaurants back when I was young, and this was never acceptable back in the day. So we order, we get our drinks (BTW, it's now $13.00 for a Mule!). Waitress asks if we want our appetizers before they meal? Of course, they are appetizers! They come out over the course of ten minutes. Then, literally, 6 minutes later, our meals start to arrive? And thirty minutes later we are still missing 4 meals from our order. There were 9 people total at our table. Management had already been notified and involved. My wife and one of my grandsons were the only two who still had not gotten their food. Which was a grilled cheese sandwich and a cheese quesadilla!!! At this point in time, the manager said she was going to give us a free desert for our problems. My wife had still not gotten her quesadilla. When everyone else was finished eating, she told them to keep it. The waitress did her best, no complaints about her. After several discounts, the check still came out to $250.00 for 4 adults and 5 children. I can guarantee this will be the last time we eat at this...
