Positive changes have undergone between the years of '16- '21 at Pulp Juice & Smoothie Bar; Mentor/Willoughby locations. Pulp Juice & Smoothie Bar is an independent franchise with numerous locations dispersed throughout Ohio & surrounding states. What is Pulp Juice & Smoothie Bar? Think; Jamba Juice on an Eastern regional scale with its own unique signature. Smoothies; (tropical, energy drink infused, protein packed, health blend), acai/chia/avocado bowls, wraps & more! Pulp Juice & Smoothie Bar is an established franchise & known locally as a pioneer and leader of its category.

With that being said, I haven't had the opportunity to visit Pulp locations in several years since having established brand loyalty. Present day, I've noted that all "classic" smoothies & small bites remain on the board-list. More specifically; sugar-free "Mango Bomb," Elite Eight, "Beet-Ba-Da-Boom" & the Albacore tuna wrap I found myself ordering all too often between the years of '16-17.

Sugar-free "Mango Bomb" headlines this review as a long-standing personal favorite of mine. I placed a BOGO order for this particular menu-item at Pulps' Willoughby location. Willoughby's sister-location contains a moderate sized floor plan, is relatively quiet & displays a solid grasp of time management. As previously stated; guests now have access to Pulp "classics" as well as two additional categories. The following categories have since been added to the universal board-list;

"Premium" Smoothies;

"Smooth Avocado" (freshly-squeezed orange juice, Hass avocado, mangos, bananas, lime squeeze, pineapple sorbet, honey, kale),

"Strawberry Basil w/ Chia" (Strawberry and guava juices, strawberries, fresh basil, lime squeeze, chia seeds)

"Orange Ginger Elixir" (Freshly-squeezed orange, carrot, ginger and lemon, pineapple sorbet, mangos, turmeric)

"Ultimate Acai" (Premium organic acai, strawberry juice, mangos, blueberries, yogurt, chia seeds)

Blended Bowls;

"Dragonfruit Bowl" (Dragonfruit, raspberries, mangos, almond milk, strawberry juice)

"Acai Blended Bowl" (Organic acai, mangos, blueberries, strawberries, almond milk, strawberry juice)

"Avocado Bowl" (Hass avocado, mangos, bananas, pineapple sorbet, honey, soy milk)

With that being said, as someone with prior established brand loyalty, I was pleasantly surprised with what I encountered at Willoughby's location. I enjoyed having access to all of the classics I'm accustomed to, as well as several new categories to choose from. Service was prompt (regardless of volume) during my evening hour visit & my cheque cleared the counter in a timley fashion. You ever have one of those days where you wake up, everything starts going wrong. Today was one. Just little things here and there. My family was at work and I was thirsty. So I stopped here. (The one on Robin Hood) got a large raging berry and a large peach beach.

I’ll be honest, I did the “make sure she sees the tip” thing. And I asked. Please make the best smoothies ever. Then I said. I don’t even care about mine. Make hers perfect.

So here’s my review. I’ve been stopping here for years now. Every time, they’re amazing smoothies. Tipping doesn’t make them better or worse. And it may have been a placebo effect…but I don’t think so.

Normally my large smoothies last me all day. Sip here and there and enjoy it. I dunno what magic they/she (wasn’t paying attention to who made it. I’m so sorry) did. But holy…baby jebus rocking in a cradle with RNGesus. This smoothie is already gone. Time frame…bought at 12…gone at 1. That’s a record. I want this flavor in my mouth. Now. And more. When my family took her first sip…she said the hair stood up in her arm and she got tingles.

Today these two girls (women I know…but I’m old now) made my day much better. And it made hers better. And for a few extra bucks they deserve every penny.

Kudos to the 3 young ladies that were working at the time of the tornado warning today 8/6/24. I had placed an online order before leaving Mentor, as I proceeded to the store the emergency alert started and then it started pouring rain and getting windy. I ran in and got my order and they offered my child and I to come in and shelter in place. I had my mother in the car so I declined and said thank you but we would be fine. After returning to the car I stopped and read the alert about finding shelter and started to re-think their offer. We decided to go in and take cover. They were very kind and set us up with some chairs in the hallway back by the bathroom away from the front windows. We sat there and waited until the coast was clear. As we were leaving we all wished each other well and my son offered his compliments on the smoothies. Then we were on our way. My point is, the smoothies were good but more importantly than that, it was the kindness and character of the good humans that I came into contact with at that moment. Thank...
