I would like to start off by saying, wow. The service here is by far the nicest out of all the sub places in Willoughby. I have been wanting a firehouse to open closer to Willoughby so I didn’t have to drive to Mentor. Although the sandwiches are mediocre at best. The service makes me want to come back over and over again. With that being said, there was one instance around 2 in the afternoon a couple weeks ago where me and my wife had gone in to get some food and it was very busy, the line was almost out the door. They only had one cashier taking orders at a time which I thought was sloppily organized but anyways the cashier was obviously stressed, it was this 5’0 little woman who was being very mean and harsh to me and my wife. I believe her name started with a D but it was weeks ago so I don’t exactly remember. She was being so unnecessarily hostile towards the customers for some reason. You’d think that when you have facial hair as a woman you’d be more kind to others but that apparently wasn’t the case. Overall the service is great, if you want to feel welcomed and treated like a friend then this is the place for you. Just don’t expect to...
Read moreThe 2 star rating is more about the service than our food. Our cashier was not friendly at all. My receipt says the cashier was Nicholas but I know that’s not correct because the person was a female, I wish I had caught her name. She was very short with us and when I asked about signing up for your rewards program she simply handed me a business card with no explanation and went on to total our order. She never said hello when we walked up and didn’t say anything once we finalized our purchase, she simply handed over the receipt. We visisted the Willoughby Ohio location at around 7:00 on 06/07/18. We were so excited about a new sub shop in our area (especially one that gives back to our community) because we eat subs 2+ times a week. I’m am disappointed to say we will not return because of...
Read moreThis was my first experience with any Firehouse Subs location. I've come away with the experience feeling ripped off. Firehouse Subs may not be a new company, but it is new to the area. What responsible franchise enters into a market not putting their best foot forward? I ordered the "Club on a Sub" that was supposed to be "fully involved" (new language to me) meaning it was supposed to come with a variety of things, including a pickle. Well my hot sub was completely cold when I got home (a five minute drive, in warm weather) and there was no pickle in the bag. I took two bites out of the sub, and it was cold to the bone, so I just threw it away - I didn't want to get sick. This will most likely be my last...
