I unfortunately have to change my review on my favorite Starbucks location and buy my own Espresso machine due to the issue clearly not being resolved.
One staff member in particular has an issue with my modified frappuccino, something the company is known for doing, especially after viral social media posts. There has been multiple incidents with this employee and it has been addressed with shift supervisors and district managers. This issue has been going on for months now. I even go to other stores to avoid this location.
Yesterday I came into the store to order my drink, she made over several drinks that were placed after mine through the drive thru and then walked away without making mine. The shift apologized after making my drink and acknowledge that her behavior was being addressed behind closed doors.
I returned today to only receive the same treatment from her. I had to wait until the partner on bar had a chance to come over and ring me out because she did not want to use her own register to ring me out. I have never been rude to this partner or said anything mean so what is the issue?
At this point it is gone too far, I spend too much money here everyday to be treated like this. My drink costs $8.15 and I normally get food or another beverage for a friend. Starbucks, you can do the math because I did and I would rather keep my money than give it to a company that allows their partners to treat people this way.
Clearly the talks with her aren't working or were never had. It's sad when she is even effecting other partners attitudes with hers.
I take care of my grandmother with dementia and I'm a substitute teacher so starting my day off with a Starbucks coffee is one of my pleasures. Unfortunately, when there is one rotten egg in the bunch, it ruins something great.
Previous Review..... sad it is no longer true.
The New Cheers! I honestly don't know what I would do without the wonderful humans that work here. They are just divine in so many ways! No matter what kind of day I'm having I always leave with a smile and like I just saw my favorite family members. Thank you for all that you do and making me feel so loved! It's the little things in life that make every day worth it and all of you are part...
Read moreEvery Starbucks is different. I like this one's seating arrangement, because there is a variety of low table w/two chairs, long bench booths, and freestanding tables by the window. One of the booth ends and table is right near the door which I don't love, but as long as it's not packed in there I'll choose not to sit there.
Food and coffees are always great. A loved one of the employees, I think his name is Washington, introduce me to my favorite seasonal flavored coffee when I wanted something completely different than what I normally get! Every time I went in after that he would tell somebody how to make it his way and they would!
9/10 times service is perfect. My most recent time there I wasn't thrilled, I wasn't quite sure the person was paying much attention to my order, I wasn't asked what size I wanted so they just selected it and I didn't realize until afterwards. I think the reason was because they were leaving for the day I noticed them walk out after my order. Seemed a bit understaffed for that day as well, which is very unusual. There's typically plenty of staffers there. But one person was making all the coffees for both walk-ins, pick up orders, and the drive thru.
There are a couple of drawbacks.
The acoustics are really terrible (and when there's teenagers in there it gets very loud so it's a distraction if you're wanting to work or have a meeting).
The tables are not usually clean (which is rather surprising).
Other than that, the staff is always friendly, location is ideal, and the coffee is always delicious. (And the bathroom, which is code-locked, is typically very...
Read moreI walked in & 3 people behind the counter ignored me. ( unknown to I at the time they were probably working on pre-order pickups.) The wait wasn't long but enough time past for one to consider leaving.
Soon a 4th gentlemen appeared & politely took my order. I received a small black coffee & told to go to the end of counter to receive my unheated coffee cake.
Again 5 workers behind counter including 2 on drive thru. I did speak up after it appeared everyone was doing other activity as drive thru was empty at the time. ( no in person customers were waiting in line. My main annoyance was not wait time but worker focus. So instead of gleefully telling me to wait as others did the gentlemen who took my order walked down the counter & just took it upon himself & retrieved my unheated coffee cake & handed it over. Teamwork & mission accomplished!
I have worked in customer service & have been on that side of the isle & I have certainly felt a certain contempt for impatient customers but rarely displayed so directly. ( worker empowerment 👍)
In retrospect they were busy fullfilling pre-order pickup orders queued up ahead of mine. So what appeared to be worker indifference was a shift from direct face to face counter ordering to the more frequent pre-order pickup.
This is a no fault non complaint. Younger workers have it tough these days for a variety of economic reasons...
