We took a day trip to downtown Willoughby around 1 pm on Saturday. After grabbing coffee, we walked around for a sweet treat to go with it and came across this place. The young girl behind the counter was full of information and answered any questions I had since it was my first visit. We ended up mixing and matching 4 items and got twisted pumpkin bundt, oreo red velvet, and smores. The female behind the counter described the tweets exactly how I would describe them here: crispy outside with a moist rich inside! These treats are worth it. Not to mention the creamy icing on top, and sometimes as a surprise in the middle. Like, look at that bundt when I opened it up! The only downfall is that they went too quickly in my house šŸ˜‚ They didn't even last a day between me and the boyfriend. You can refrigerate or freeze them if you have more control and want to save them for other days. I think I would highly enjoy another coffee and cupcake day date journey! I was told they also sell their cupcakes in Arabica in downtown willoughby as well!

We stopped in last night after dinner and were not disappointed. The customer service was superb. She explained about their kitchen procedures, what crispy cakes were and pointed out which of their items were softer as well. I had half the smores cupcake today and found it to be delicious. Looking forward to trying out the other items we purchased- Velvet O cupcake and the carrot and chocolate cakes as well. ā¤ļø

I have come here twice for birthdays and have been overjoyed with the desserts both times. I have many dietary restrictions so am limited with where I can enjoy food from. All of my friends & family who do NOT share my restrictions enjoy the desserts from Sweets Geek just as much as I do. The woman working the counter even put a candle in the carrot cake for the birthday guy today, which was extra thoughtful.

The Sweets Geek (Jen) is not only an extraordinary baker, but such a kind person. She made the cake and crispy cakes for my daughters graduation party. Before she even had a store to bake in. And her communication and kindness was incredible. My now mother in law ordered crispy cakes for my wedding and I’m sure Jen jumped through hoops and willing to for all of her requests. Now my mother in law feels so special every time she orders from The Sweets Geek for family gatherings she is greeted by her first name.like she really is a part of The Sweets Geek. And now even my carnivore family members are earrings Jens vegan baked goods over the non vegan baked goods. Thank you Jen! We are sending you all the best wishes for your business!...

For being gluten free and dairy free, the desserts are pretty good. I stopped in yesterday for the first time and the owner described the cupcakes at crispy on the outside and moist inside, which was accurate. Most of the flavor was in the filling or topping. I didn’t know it was all GF and DF until we checked out the website. I think it’d be really attractive to make it more well know that the desserts are all GF and DF in the store front and advertise outside more. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t be very excited about their desserts. As someone with food intolerances, I’m very happy to have this in the neighborhood. Also so glad that DTW -FINALLY- has an actual bakery shop! I plan...
