Brew Haha! in Greenville is a fantastic spot that perfectly balances cozy charm with spacious comfort. As a long-time fan of this local chain, I was excited to visit this location, and it did not disappoint! Nestled in a lovely shopping complex, it enjoys a prime corner spot with ample open space around it. One of its standout features is the expansive patio in the back and to the left—an ideal setting for warmer days when you want to sip your coffee outdoors.
Inside, the café is roomy and inviting, offering plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your drinks. The warm, coffee-scented atmosphere is elevated by a charming fireplace with a few cozy chairs in front of it—perfect for curling up with a book or unwinding with friends. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to work or a social space to chat, this Brew Haha caters to all moods.
Their menu remains a highlight, featuring a stellar lineup of coffee drinks, pastries, and made-to-order food. I was especially excited about the liquor license, allowing for indulgent boozy drinks! However, the only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that my mocha latte was a bit light on the chocolate syrup. That aside, everything else—from service to ambiance—was excellent! I’ll definitely be back.
I decided to give Brew Haha another visit, and I’m really glad I did! My previous issue with the mocha latte turned out to be a one-off because this time, it was spot-on—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. But what really made this visit stand out was the outdoor space. Now that the weather is nicer, they’ve opened up their patio, and it completely transforms the experience.
Sipping my coffee outside in the fresh air, surrounded by a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, made this visit one of the best café experiences I’ve had in a while. The seating is comfortable, the ambiance is inviting, and it’s a great spot to either catch up with friends or get some work done. This might just be the best Brew Haha location, and I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreUpdated review Feb 2: Cime fir brunch for party of 3. Attemoted to sit us at a (VERY) small round table large enough for 3 coffee mugs and a cell phone. Other tables w er re reserved (which us interesting because I've tried to make reservations and have been told I cannot). Moving on...
Then attempted to sit at the large round table in the front ... that table wobbled so bad, our drinks were sliding. Looked underneath and saw that someone had tried to fix with a twistie tie.. seriously guys !!?? Can can't just turn this thing over and fix it properly ??
Now sitting at the larger rectangle table and that one wobbles crazy too.
Guys --- change tour name to Our Tables wobble!
Updating review Sept 5, 2018: Maintaining 3 stars but not happy with the service today. How long do you think I sat at a high top at the bar before I ended up having to ask someone for service, only to be told they don't serve there until 11? Well, the fact that I had to ask should tell you ... Too Long! Come on guys. Several people walked by me at 10:30 and nobody said anything! So then I walked up to the counter and asked for a table ... they said they do not have a server in today. Seriously?
3 stars Aug 18, 2018: Fantastic atmosphere and food was great. Love that they serve alcohol and french press coffee. We sat at the bar and service was great. However...
It's disheartening to see food servers standing in the corner of the bar eating. I don't want to know that you just shoved a piece of cornbread in your mouth and come chewing to my table delivering my food. You are eating right next to the wash station, at least wash your hands before serving food. Preferably, eat before your shift.
Banging large bags of ice and throwing silverware around right next to us certainly made for a noisy experience and difficult to have a conversation.
Clearly some room for improvement but this place is...
Read moreI have been getting coffee at Brew Ha Ha since I was a little kid but it had been some time since I had visited this location. All I can say is WOW. I love the vibes in here. Brew Haha somehow manages to seem both nostalgic and trendy to a 90s kid like myself. I am so happy to see how this Delaware establishment is thriving in the 2020s.
My girlfriend and I visited on a Sunday morning for a sit down breakfast. You have to order at the counter and then they bring your order to your seat. She got a Strawberry Fruit Smoothie and French Toast. I got a Cinnamon Chip Scone and a Rest Stop Breakfast Sandwich on a Biscuit. I also got a Cappuccino w/ Skim Milk. Everything was great. I typically prefer scrambled eggs on a breakfast sandwich but the fried egg worked well. It was also served on a red pepper biscuit that had a bit of zing. The combination of that with the bacon and eggs was great.
The French Toast was perfect as well. It was topped with granola which gave a satisfying crunch. It was also not too big. this is not the kind of French Toast that will leave you feeling gross afterwards.
Special shout out to the scone, though. I have always liked Brew Ha Ha's banked goods and I was pleased that this scone (the last one) tasted fresh and not at all stale.
If you are in Greenville, get coffee here instead of Starbucks. Yes, I sometimes visit Starbucks because it is faster and I know exactly what I want to order. However, Brew Ha Ha has been a Greenville staple for three decades (or four?). Stop in for a quick coffee on a weekday morning or a leisurely brunch on...
