The four stars for the food is for the lasagna, calzone, wings and sausage pizza. The lasagna is some of the best in Wilmington. It is as good or better than the more fancy restaurants in the area. The calzone is delicious. I usually get a ham calzone. The wings are big and the honey BBQ is very tasty. The sausage they use on the pizzas is cut thin and very good. The problem I have had is any pizza with pepperoni. It makes the pizza so greasy it is not edible. I complained and I was told that the manager told the person I talked to on the phone that it is normal for the pizza to be greasy from pepperoni. That was it. They did not care that I paid for a pizza I could not eat and was throwing away. The grease as you can see in the picture went through the dough and through the pizza box. Crazy. I understand pepperoni can cause grease but thousands of other pizza places have pepperoni and you can eat the pizza so what ever they are using probably needs to be changed. I hesitated for a while to do this review because I really do like their food outside of the pepperoni. The service one star is for how I was treated when I called about the pepperoni and the atmosphere could use a deep cleaning and or a remodel but it does not affect me because I always get the food to go. With all that said I still recommend this restaurant as a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.

Decided to give this place a try after reading a good amount of the reviews. I want to start by saying, the customer service and wait time was great but I felt disappointed with the Sicilian pie. A solid 3/5 stars. I’m a New Haven native so I’m used to good quality pizza and never expect to have the same BUT I was quite disappointed with this pie. Let me begin by saying the dough was amazing. It was crunchy, held structure and had good flavor. But the canned mushrooms, extreme lack of flavor from the sauce and absurd amount of cheese really threw me off… I also got a free order of garlic knots that were packed with flavor which was great but the pizza was a huge let down. If I’m being honest, the sauce just tasted like canned crushed tomatoes rather than a good quality pizza sauce. I’ve included a photo of what my Sicilian pie from a local Italian pizza shop near me typically looks like vs the one from here. I also felt a bit disappointed that they were not able to deliver 13 minutes away from their location. Again 3/5 stars from my experience. I appreciate the kind service but there’s definitely room for growth in multiple areas for their pies. I’d be willing to try Brooklyn Pizza Co Market st location again in a few weeks to see if things improve. If not, unfortunately this just isn’t the place for me.

Let me first start off by saying that I am not a person that takes the time to leave google reviews for businesses unless the business asks me to do one. That is not the case here. I am writing this review because of how impressed I was by the staff at this restaurant. I was just at the store picking up a carry out order and I arrived early to the estimated time they had said when I called my order in. I got to sit and watch their staff for 30 minutes where every single team member stayed 100% busy the entire time (8-10 people). They worked together with everyone having a main task, but when their main task did not have something in front of them they jumped to help the person next to them. The gentlemen at the cash register would group orders together, answer the second phone line, jump out to coordinate the delivery drivers, and when that wasn’t busy they would come wipe the tables down. The 4 guys making pizzas were an assembly line that never slowed down one time. I kept waiting for something to throw a snag, but they never broke stride or were phased by what seemed to be 30 orders that came in while I was there. The two phones were answered promptly and orders were keyed in through iPads. There was not a single second while I was there that one employee took a single second off of doing a task. Not one time did a single employee even look at their cell phone which may have impressed me the most. I thought about that when I left to see what time it was. There is a reason that their food is consistently great each and every time. It’s because they care about the product, the business, and each other. When my order was ready they brought it to me and apologized for the extra wait time telling me that there would be no charge for my order which I told them they had no reason to apologize because I witnessed first hand that any extra wait time was absolutely not from a lack of effort or not hustling. I told them to absolutely charge me, but instead apologized. I never once said a word about wait time and even decided that I needed to do something watching them work so hard, so I jumped in and opened the front door to people leaving with larger orders. I hope this review pays them back tenfold from people reading this and understanding that this business has a team of employees who simply care and get it. I don’t know who the owner of this business is, but I hope you read this and continue to commend/acknowledge your employees work ethic which I am 100% sure you already do because of the pride they show and way they represent the “Brooklyn Pizza” name and your business. Hats off to everyone in that building. If you are reading this as a customer deciding whether to order from here or not do yourself a favor and place an order. This...

First and last time coming here, and I'll tell you why. I ordered pizza and wings at 6:19 for an estimated pickup time of 7:10, which seemed like a long time for pizza, but since the reviews were so good (and it was a Friday after all) I was willing to wait. I arrive at 7:05 and am told that my wings are ready, but we're just waiting on the pizza. No worries, I'm 5 minutes early anyway. As I wait, the place fills up with customers also waiting for their orders and I watch my wings sit in the warmer. Customers either walk in and immediately get their food, or are told their pizza is in the oven and sit down to wait like me. I'm being patient since I know Fridays can be busy and these guys are working hard. Fast forward to 7:50 and I am still standing there waiting for my pizza with zero acknowledgement, so I walk up to ask for an update. The staff ignored me, so I never got the opportunity. I understand this was a Friday, but waiting in the shop for 40 minutes past when I was told to arrive is crazy. So at 8:00 I walked up to the counter to try to ask for an update once again and before I could ask for an update, they handed me my pizza and wings without a "sorry for the delay" or a "thanks for waiting". I would have been willing to forgive and forget if any of this was acknowledged. At this point, it was 50 minutes from order time to pickup estimate time, plus the 50 additional minutes of me standing in there empty handed awkwardly watching the staff well after my 7:10 estimated pickup time, of which 55+ of those minutes where my wings were sitting in a bag in the warmer well after being cooked. Really disappointing and a huge waste of my...

Running a pizza shop is not easy I get it! This shop on market and gordon absolutely sucks , they are never consistent, always rude , and walk around like they hate the world. You shouldn't have to say "light cook" to get a pizza without black all over the bottom from their gross ovens. My most recent complaint is today , I pay $6 for a delivery fee for a small pep pizza going 1.5 miles , they said 45 to and hour wait. Guy showed up on my camera 30 min later knocked on the door and left , I was in the backyard, they didn't ring the door bell or call . Usually they would call , but they just left. So I drove up and got the pizza , I smile , I get my pizza , I pay the full price as if it was delivered and leave , I was also apoligizing like an old gramother at church for simply standing in the way . The problem is ... why didn't they take the delivery charge off , especially when it wasn't delivered? Didn't ring the door bell , or call .. but I get it , your probably super busy at 230 in the afternoon on a Wednesday... so my bad , but what about simple human interaction , or an apology , nope .. never these people who been running this shop simply hate customers , and do not care about pizza , it's just an embarrassment at this point . If your from NY , I would never recommend this place.! Oh by the way I forgot to say light cook , and my pep pizza is orange from the grease that settled from sitting so long , and black on the bottom , horrible ,...
