The sales part of our purchases was the only easy part. Most of our purchases have had huge problems and takes months to rectify. We purcahsed a Realyn Bedroom Collection set. We are not big people and do not do gymnastics in bed. About 7 months after the purchase, the side rail on one side of the bed failed. We called Ashley Furniture - it was still covered under the warranty period but it took 2-3 months to get the new parts. While we were waiting, the bed would randomly fall to the ground in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. When their "technician" came to put on the new part, he said whoever put it together the first time, did not assumble it correctly. I informed him that we paid for assembly so whoever Ashley Furniture sent, is who put it together incorrectly. While he was putting the new part on, he suggested we put the bed up against the wall to make sure it doesn't come apart again. (That's ridiculous. Furniture shouldn't have to be secured by the wall) A drawer that was in the dresser arrived cracked - that was replaced within a couple weeks. We also purchased a power recliner that stopped working 11 months after the purchase. We inspected underneath and saw that the installation team did not secure the wires underneath so they were being chewed up every time we put the feet up and down. We were told the part would be delivered in approximately 10 days and we are still waiting over 2 months later. The last time I called to inquire, I was told the parts are made overseas and it takes a while to get replacement parts. (They should have extra parts to handle repairs. Asking a customer to wait months to have something fixed is NOT reasonable) When we stopped in the store to see if they could help, they said they had heard about this happening with other customers but we should work through it ourselves with customer service. At the time of writting this, we still don't have a working...
Read moreI went into the store to purchase a couch, and very clearly told the salesman (David) that I needed delivery ASAP. He let me know that the soonest available would be 2-3 weeks out, and for some reason they would only deliver in my area on a Wednesday (which doesn’t make sense as I ordered a bedroom set and got it sooner/didn’t have to be on a Wednesday). Anyways, I said that was fine and the delivery was set for 3 weeks. A couple days before it was supposed to be delivered, I got a call that one of the pieces was not yet in stock so they wouldn’t not be able to do a partial delivery. When I spoke to the lady (on their 833 number) she said that she could set the delivery for 8/13. I reluctantly said ok, as that’s really my only option. I reached out to the salesman to see what he could do and he said he would look into and see what he could do. A week went by and I never got a response. What great customer service this is! Anywho, I reached out again thanking him for looking into this issue for me (not!) and getting back to me, that I would surely be leaving a review of the “great” service Ashley offers. I called today, because you know now that 8/13 came and went and no one reached out to me. Still waiting for my couch, for a month now, that is supposedly set for delivery 8/20. Not sure if you know what it’s like to be a military family having to relocate, and then also live without a couch for a month, really simply due to poor customer service and weird delivery rules but here we are. After my experience purchasing the bedroom set, I knew I really shouldn’t have gone back to Ashley (mark up central that they then try to disguise behind sales) but in the area, there’s really limited options. I reached out to David again this morning, but not holding my breath that he can help, so here’s to hoping we actually get the upwards of $4k...
Read moreFist, I would like to say if you have never been to the Ashley store located at Wilmington North Carolina you must go and see for yourself. My wife and I was so amazed at the large variety of home furnishings at this location that we were overwhelmed until we had the pleasure of meeting one of the store associates whose name is Dane.
Dane is a very friendly, polite, helpful, as well as an attentive listener and showed us around until we found the right loveseat that was needed for our limited living space.
If you ever need someone who is paying attention to your home furnishing needs then make sure to ask for Dane. He’s the guy with the nice slick haircut and beard (he kind of resembles former NFL player Jason Kelse). He is a personable good guy as well as a good sales associate who will put your needs first before the sale. He is very honest and helpful. He doesn’t crowd you, and gives you room to relax so that you can make the right decision.
Dane was very helpful and patient as he showed us many pieces til we finally found the right one. He also helped in getting us a good deal which fit our budget.
In closing, I recommend to those who have never been to this location, and you are in need of new furnishings for your home, make sure to visit this Ashley location and ask for Dane. He will guide and help you find what your looking...
