Okay so we've gone 3 times now and I think I'm ready to share my thoughts. And please, take it as just my opinion. You should definitely go and try it out for yourself. So the atmosphere is decent. The staff were nice enough... kinda listless. We seemed to go around 2pm or 3pm every time so maybe everyone was tired after a lunch rush. The fries were okay. I didn't love them, but they weren't bad. They were okay though. I got them plain. Next time I'll try the fries with all the fun stuff on them. So I haven't tried a shake yet... and that's because they're 10 or 16 dollars. DANG! I see the cereal boxes and I'm sure they're good, but for $10 or $16 bucks.... I dunno, I'm just not in a place where I'm ready to slap down that kinda cash for a shake. But the star of the show is the burger. The burger is.... ah-may-zing. I've had the regular ($7) and the double sizes ($11) and let me tell you... the burger is worth the price of admission. I recommend just getting it with the onions they cook it in. The flavor is out of this world. Their burger sauce is really good too. No really, I can't describe it... I don't have the adequate skills with the English language to describe how good the burgers are. The texture of the burger and onions is amazing. And the bun? Fuggetaboutit. They sprinkle some kind of magic on those buns that make them absolutely amazing. The burgers are really special. But look, it's pricey. The place is not cheap, that's for sure. But it's worth it to go. I mean, you can go to the Fork N Cork downtown and get one of their burgers for the same price as a burger and fries here. And... I would argue the Fork N Cork would be a better choice overall for the money. But sometimes, you don't want to find and pay for parking downtown and eat in a place like that... sometimes you just want to grab a quick bite after being out and shopping and for that, Oklahoma's burgers fit the bill! We haven't been in a couple weeks and I thought I heard they may be adjusting their prices, but I can't confirm that. But you should go.... go get a burger. It's incredible. Everything else is good enough. And it's all pricey.

*** UPDATE *** Star News did a review recently (5/22/24) of best burger. This place came in second, so I decided to give them another go. My original review was three stars, and after a second visit, had to drop it down. I just don't understand how people are so high on this place, it's hard to believe. A very overcooked, drenched in salt patty, with very little toppings. I do tip my hat to however they achieve such an amazing bun!! Pics are from this more recent visit. Original post: Glad to see a few actual reviews starting to filter in, as almost all of the initial reviews were by brand-new accounts... but anyway....here is mine: I appreciate a simple menu, do just a few things, and do them well! Chick fil an and Mess Hall would be good examples. That being said, doubling the price of a burger to go from a single patty to a double seems ridiculous. These are very thin, smash burgers (think Steak n Shake). One patty gets lost in the melted cheese, and grilled onions, which are delicious! So two patties are required (which would run you 4 dollars, with fries, at Steak n Shake, which I realize we do not have here). The best part of the burger is the bun! Great potato bun that is perfectly fluffy and moist. The tots are tots. No doubt about it - it is a good burger, but don't expect it to change your life, knock off your socks, or otherwise stand apart from other options in town. Scale of one to ten, the burger is a 7...knocked down to a six due to lack of value. Everyone will go check this place out once, because ILM does not have a clear-cut burger champion...we will see how many people go back. Better value can be found Frontier, right down the road, and Grimm burger, and smash n dash food truck. And at this price point: Poe's, Two Guys Grille, Mess Hall, Fork n Cork, Rebellion, Fox and Hound, and Wrightsville Beach Brewery are better, to name a few...all of which also happen to be local, just sayin.

Big Price, Cheap product The service at this location was great.......however the overall product of food is less than satisfactory. Let me start out with the good. The bathrooms do have a changing table, which is a plus if you have a little one. The restaurant has a score of 100 on their sanitation rating. They're very clean and tidy! The service was great, the team members were very polite and helpful. The food came out very quick as well, and it was during the lunch rush when my wife and I ordered. Now the mediocre, the burgers were the thinnest burgers I have ever eaten. The taste was about average for a burger. The problem is the small burger alone is $7. A small fry is $5 and a large fry is also $7. If you want a drink that will run you about another $2. The fries are mediocre as well, definitely not worth the price you pay. You get a decent amount, my best comparison is they look like McDonald's fry and container, but lack the taste. They have a special seasoning that I did not try, but they may help with the taste. The bad is their milkshakes, $10 for a small and it does not deliver whatsoever on the anticipated taste. It taste like a stale bowl of cereal. We tried the classic and we were very underwhelmed. Other notes, there is two gender neutral bathrooms in the front next to the soda machine, the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable, and the napkins are extremely rough and cheap. One aspect that was a little rough is the dine in only has packets of condiments, it is very annoying having to open 20 packets ketchup while eating fries. Overall, inviting store front with friendly staff, but extremely expensive for the quality for food and amenities.

My experience highlights what customer service and humanity is all about. After losing my home in hurricane Milton, we came up here to Wilmington to possibly relocate. Oklahoma’s Original Burger is near the hotel we are staying at and the smell of their food while we were going to Starbucks nearby and it had my stomach wanting to eat there—it smelled amazing! A week later while deciding what to eat for dinner, I immediately thought of Oklahoma’s Original Burger and its amazing smell! The price may seem off putting at first glance, but when you consider the fact that they use all premium ingredients, the price is very fair! Then when you get your meal… it makes even more sense! Their portions are extremely generous and they use the best quality beef, fresh onions and real fresh potatoes…. I was not disappointed! What really made this special and memorable… was their service. Being from out of state, my financial institution locked my card and I was freaking out because my transaction was declining. It was close to closing and they had already started my order. I was so worried that I would have to leave without food and cancelling my whole order. I stepped outside to call my bank and the food was delivered. My little girl was not wanting to eat, in case I was unable to get ahold of the bank. The amazing woman who served us told my daughter to go ahead and eat (even though she wouldn’t because she was worried). I finally got the bank to lift the security freeze, after six failed attempts to pay. I apologized over and over, but the woman was so kind. Not once did this woman become impatient or upset, and it just really made my whole month. Usually it is either quality or service but not both. Oklahoma’s Original Burgers soars high on every level, and they’ve got a...
