Port City Java — Restaurant in Wilmington

Was gifted a drink from a friend on 10/30/25. She brought it to me at a place I was volunteering. Unfortunately, it tasted so bitter and not good. It was an iced latte. I called to tell what happened and ask if I could come get a replacement when I was finished . The person I spoke to was extremely rude asking for a receipt (it was bought by a friend for me). I told her I didn’t have a receipt but I could bring the drink back . She then asked me the name of the person who bought it. I told she paid cash at the drive thru so she wasn’t asked her name. I had to go so I just said “forget it” . I was so aggravated so I called this morning. I spoke to Georgia. I explained what happened, and without hesitation she told me to come for a replacement. I now have a console of 2$ off cards in my car from this location. My order has never been correct. Today was too much. I told the barista my order several time through the speaker. Advised her twice no whip and a freeze not shake. I end up with whip and a shake. Port City has become an addiction for me and I love it. I have never had this issue at any other location and it makes me sad that I have to put this location on my no go list. Not to mention I’m pushing 50 and not the 20 year old baristas love, honey, sweetie or baby. I am very southern and would never call my elder love, sweetie, baby while working a service job. It is also not appropriate to call my husband or father that either. I know the location just opened. I sincerely hope you get the kinks...

I usually try to leave positive reviews but today makes the fourth trip to this PCJ where they have got my order wrong. Today I asked for a medium hot coffee with cream and sugar and specifically asked them for extra cream in my coffee. My coffee is one shade lighter than black with no sugar. I asked them for a scone and requested that they not heat it. I didn't realize that they had heated it until I got to work and saw that grease from the scone was leaking through the bag onto my scrubs. Also, scones shouldn't be greasy and rubbery.
