One mustn't expect much in terms of customer service when dealing with a local "Chicken Shack"; However, Employees who knowingly supply customers w/ #AlternativeFacts/false information when probed about the preparation of items on their menu DO NOT VALUE THEIR JOB OR THE CUSTOMER! Here are their stories:
During my first & last visit, I inquired about the lemonade I saw pre-packaged in to-go cups behind the counter. "Do you make your own lemonade here", I ask excitedly? The tall cashier says yes. "So you FRESH SQUEEZE the lemons here", I ask. He replies, "Yes, It's fresh squeeze".
[Note: I "juice" frequently & make my own lemonade and lemon infused drinks. I avoid soda, sugary drinks, & fructose corn syrup making me & my family highly aware of the difference in taste between powdered & fresh. I was happy to find a place that prepared their own like Chic-fil-a].
The color looked a little off (faint greenish-hue) to be fresh, but I decided to take his word after he said, "If it's not fresh, I'll give you back $1". I paid & he immediately walked away (w/o a Thank you, Good Day, or Come again, btw). I tasted the juice & it was definitely NOT made with fresh lemons (perhaps country-time or some other powder w/a few lemon slices added for "effect").
I didn't feel like calling the guy out on his blatant lie (had been having a peaceful day prior) & walked toward my car. I then saw him come back to the counter after I walked out. I went back in & politely said in. A gentle tone & w/a smile, "I'm sorry, but this was not fresh squeezed with actual lemons". I was going to ask instead for a wing ($1), when he huffed and grabbed a soda (gasps) offering it to me. I began to kindly respond, "I don't want another drink... I'd like a".... He slams down the soda, rushes to the register, and snatches out $1 to shove at me. I was shocked at his behavior over this small matter & began to say, "I don't drink soda and usually make my own lemonade". He waved me off dismissively like a bad date w/Taylor Swift and walked away into the back. Really?
The food was okay. Not as "test tube" tasting as KFC, May be Halal like they suggest (but then again, employees DO lie about lemonade the here, so IDK...)). By no means is it comparable to free range or grain fed poultry. I work in (Corporate) Customer Service and this guy and/or these types of practices will definitely drive down the profits of the business. I feel bad for those who are forced to seek out the only "Chicken Shack" in the area and deal w/such poor lackluster...
Read moreI have several different meals from Pizza Bolis. Pizza, Stromboli, cheese steak, and especially the Halal is delicious. They’re best food ranges just like any other restaurant and those specifically were my favorite. They were open during quarantine and stayed open very late. They offered to deliver although I live in Bethlehem and the delivery is out of range. I’ve been to many different restaurants. Pizza Boli’s had done well and I’m not disappointed. I am pleased with they’re customer service in Easton, PA and the quality of food is very well done. They’re not a 5 star restaurant but when you combine the lack of restaurants open during quarantine with their extensive hours of operation, and decent food then you receive a happy-full belly. Thank you Pizza Boli’s. The potential is great. Fix the recipe on other food items and graduate to a new location in the future and the restaurant in this area will bring much success. Hala is the best meal. Pizza and Stromboli follow as second best in my opinion. My review is for those meals and their...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at this restaurant for years, but my experience today was nothing short of shocking. It felt like I was dining at a completely different place, as if new owners or staff had taken over. I ordered my usual chicken over rice, and while I used to enjoy a complimentary can of soda, I was told that due to inflation, they no longer offer this and instead provided me with an off-brand substitute. This felt like a disappointing downgrade!
To make matters worse, when I got home and started eating, I found what I initially thought were bones in my chicken. It turned out to be pieces of wood! I’ve attached a photo for reference. This is unacceptable. I hope management addresses these issues immediately, as I don't want to have to find a new place to enjoy my favorite meal. I really hope this was just a one-time mistake; I’d hate to see this restaurant lose its quality and...
