South Sea Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Wilton Manors

I don’t know what happened to this place but the food I got there today was horrible. I called to let them know the egg roll was soggy my reply was yes that happens when it travels. Then I told her about the fantail shrimp that were almost to hard to bite into and she told me that they tend to harden and dry up when you travel with that. She suggested that the next time I order I get something else. I didn’t even get into the greasy fried rice and the house special fried rice was so salty I couldn’t eat more than two forks of it. After Hurricane Irma they were open for cash only take out orders. The gentleman I gave my order to forgot to mention this on the phone with me. When I arrived I saw the cash only signs and was concerned I wouldn't be able to pay for my food. The woman who is always running the phones and register said not to worry and that she would make sure I ate dinner that night. She allowed me to pay what I could with the cash I had (about 1/2 of the bill) as long as I returned next week to pay the remaining balance.

With that kind of care and customer service I will return to this local Chinese take out spot for as long as I live in the area....

Food was edible but not good. I got sweet n sour chicken, beef n broccoli, steamed dumplings, and white rice. First off the white rice seemed like it wasn’t even like normal chinese sticky rice, tasted like minute made white rice. The dumplings were hard and not cooked properly and/or thoroughly. Beef and broccoli wasn’t too bad.
