I recently attended a friend’s child’s birthday party at Mickel Park, and I was impressed by how well-maintained and family-friendly this park is. Having visited before for sporting events, I knew the park offered great amenities, but this visit really highlighted just how versatile and enjoyable Mickel Park is.
The playgrounds are fantastic for kids, with plenty of equipment to keep them entertained for hours. The picnic areas with barbecues are perfect for family gatherings, and the clean bathrooms are a big plus, especially when spending the whole day there.
One thing I really appreciate is the complimentary EV charging station. It’s such a thoughtful feature that makes it easy for me to charge my car while enjoying the park. Located at the end of the guest parking lot, the charging station is clearly marked and very convenient.
For sports enthusiasts, Mickel Park offers a variety of options, including volleyball, softball, kickball, football, soccer, and rugby. The fields are in great condition, and there’s always something happening, making it a lively spot for both participants and spectators.
The dog relief stations are another nice touch, ensuring that every member of the family, including our furry friends, is taken care of. Overall, Mickel Park is a shining example of what a community park should be – clean, well-equipped, and welcoming to all. Kudos to the city of Wilton Manors for maintaining such a wonderful space. Highly recommend visiting Mickel Park whether you’re attending an event, having a picnic, or just looking to enjoy a beautiful...
Read moreI came across this park on accident and I couldn’t be more pleased!! My children and I are always on the hunt for local parks and upon visiting a park nearby, we were disappointed because they had mulch and the splash pad wasn’t working. Therefore I searched for something similar nearby and Mickel Park was suggested. I’m so glad it was because this park is gem! Nestled between a beautiful neighborhood, this park had all the amenities we were searching for and more! The playground it well kept, great for ages 5 and up, the splash pad is quaint and in good working order, there’s a covered outdoor gym, clean restrooms close by the playground and there’s plenty of sports activities going on during the weekends. There is also nice pavilions, a walking trail and little community center. It’s the perfect place to let the kids run free because the park is surrounded by a fence to keep all the kids safely in one area. This is now added to my list...
Read moreOur local park. Newly renovated late 2015. Has amazingly large pavilion that you can rent with a call to the city of Wilton Manors, last I checked it was around $300 for the entire day, but if you are throwing a large party it would be worth it! Has electricity, bar area for food prep etc. but no grill. Also has a smaller pavilion for around $75 a day. Otherwise it's a great little park with a lot to do, the cool thing is that from the pavilions you can see all the other areas of the park, the volleyball court, playground, softball field, workout stations etc. so if your having a party your guests can enjoy any of the activities while also staying within the social...
