Dentist was very nice and great personality, but office staff is worse ever. The gave me an estimate that did not include check-up and xrays, I was told that is a covered service but they y failed to verify last time I had X-rays at another office so there was a charge for $250 that I did not expect as it was not included in the signed estimate. I challenged but paid anyway A filling came out and Dr fixed it and told me if I had any issues to call back.
Second filling came out, got an appointment but then office manager got on call, and asked if I still wanted to see Dr. based on the insurance issue. Why not, who else would fix his work. I asked. We got into an argument as to why she was bringing up old stuff. She said in order for Dr to fix, they want me to pay upfront for repair work and for a new exam (to figure out why the second filling came out) that should be under warranty according to Dr. Staff now says Im not welcome as a patient because I won't agree to pay upfront for something that should be covered. I asked to speak to Dr, he was supposed to call back and never did.
If you are not sure how your insurance works, be sure you find out all possible issues before you agree to estimate as it can change significantly and it's your responsibility to know all about this according to this office.
I paid $1,900 for the fillings, so there was no issue with you getting paid or insurance or me knowing how it works. The issue started by Martha telling me that you took Delta Dental but you don't. She knew how it worked and should have told me that I would be reimbursed or that I would be getting reimbursed directly, but i was just told your all set after I paid my $1,000. When the EOB arrived, none of the numbers on the EOB matched the estimate, that's what i was trying to understand, but Martha got huffy because I had questions around allowed amount and if a Delta dentist, that's what you would have been paid. But since Martha mislead me initially, she did not like being questioned. Regardless I still paid the full $1,900 so Blue Palm had no issues with me or getting paid. I had one of the 8 fillings come out between the date of service and receiving the EOB, and the dentist told me to call back if any other fillings came out and he would fix it. When a second filling came out less than 8 months after the work was done, I called. I scheduled the appointment everything was fine, after all, everyone was very nice after the filling was fixed. I was put on hold and then Martha stepped in and asked me if I remembered there were issues and I was not a welcome patient. It had nothing to do with insurance or payments but rather a vindictive person. It went south from there. She canceled the appointment that had been made. When I asked to speak to the Dr. she said she would give the message but never heard back. I called back and the second person told me that I would have to pay in advance, I would need an examination and new x-rays and filling and all that had to be collected in advance, even if it was to fix a filling that was under warranty, and the dentist told me he would fix, I left messages before posting my review and was hoping to get a call back but never did. It all started with Martha at the front desk, Martha runs the office in a very efficient and effective manner. She is extremely professional, but also very kind. Martha scheduled an appointment for me and as I was waiting to meet with the dentist I had a toothache that was getting worse so I called Martha to inquire if there was anyway I could come in and see the doctor sooner. Martha made it possible for me, she scheduled me for the next day first thing in the morning. I came to the office and got there early and stood outside. Martha saw me from the window and came outside to let me know that I could come in and sit down which I thought was very sweet of her. She had already communicated via text about the paperwork so there was nothing I really needed to fill out when I was there. She took care of everything very quickly and I got to see the doctor almost immediately.
Fatima who is the doctorâs assistant was absolutely wonderful. Both she and Martha made me feel so welcomed and helped ease my fears. They asked me about my life and shared tidbits about their own lives. It was one of the few times where I wasnât treated like a customer or even a patient but more like a human being. Fatima went inside with me and took care of everything before the doctor came in.
When the doctor came in he immediately saw that I had an infection and began to explain everything to me in detail, he explained the whole process and how long it would take. He prescribed the medicationâs and started the work. When I tell you that he has the hands of a surgeon, itâs no exaggeration. I was so scared to go to the dentist and he completely took away all of my fears.
The following week I came in for the first part of my cleaning, and Fatima was the one who took care of that portion of the appointment and when I tell you that Fatima was in there cleaning my teeth, giving me an antibiotic, poking at my teeth and I didnât feel an ounce of pain, that also is no exaggeration.
