Pretty horrible experience tonight. I walk in around 830pm and it's a ghost town. Not an employee in sight. I think it took em 2 minutes to realize I was even there cause they were hiding in the back. So I let that slide it's ok, I worked in food service before too. So I order a philly cheese with onions and peppers like always just to have the guy turn around and say "we are out of onions" so I ended up having to get one with out them. Looking around it's pretty obvious they started putting some of the food away in preparation to get outa there early. Im Quite displeased now. Finally get to the register to pay for a Gatorade and my sandwich and as I'm trying to hand the guy a 20 dollar bill he then explains to me that I cant pay in cash. I'm like "what do you mean you dont take cash?" He then tells me he closed the register already. And that "I cant help you." Is all he kept repeating. And I'm pretty sure I could hear guy #2 chuckling in the back. So now I'm stuck cause all I have is cash. Quite the pickle if you ask me. Thankfully I had shore points and was forced to buy the sandwich with that instead of money. Otherwise I woulda had to leave empty handed. Unfortunately the drink had to go back Into the fridge cause apparently you cant use points on beverages. Which of course I had to buy again up the street at a gas station and waste even more of my time. So yeah pretty embarrassing unwelcoming horrible experience just ruined my night. It really seems like they just dgaf. Even a smile would help but they just seemed irritated that I was even in the store.
New edit july 28th 2023. Wish I could give this place no stars. Once again I arrive here to order my fav sandwich. But this time they are out of bread. So what's the point of being open untill 9pm if you cant order any food from them after 8:30?? Horrible service. They just dont...
Read moreDoesn't surprise me that I had a bad experience after seeing all of the recent reviews.
I live over 30 minutes from this location and after getting out of work late, managed to walk in the door at 8:53PM. As soon as I walked in, the 2 employees looked up with disappointment in their eyes. I placed my order and proceeded to use the restroom as I had been driving for awhile.
Heres where it gets fun.. When I exited the restroom, I was asked to repeat my order. The 2 guys started whispering to each other over by the grill before the 2nd one says adamantly "I already cleaned the grill" and just stared at me .. After a long awkward silence, I asked what that meant and he repeated himself. Checked my watch, it was still before closing. I then said "so you're not going to serve me?" .. Once again, he repeated 5 words about the grill.
If any employee at my place of business refused to help a customer that entered while we were open, or was even half as rude as the child running the grill, I would fire them on the spot. Not exactly the behavior that makes someone want to come back.
Anyway now I get to spend my night hungry as all of the other decent restaurants in the area close at 9, in addition to the wasted hour of driving. I'm literally still in shock about how bizarre that...
Read moreAt around 7:50 P.M, I ordered a sub online and started driving to pick it up. Halfway through, I had somewhere else to be, so I called and said I would be late; I wasn’t even sure if I’d be there before closing time, so I told them they could leave it outside if I didn’t make it.
It was 9:50 before I pulled into the parking lot, and I didn’t see a sandwich bag anywhere. I wasn’t disappointed—I knew I was taking a chance by not coming before closing time.
Then, the window of the car next to me rolls down; it’s an employee, holding up my sandwich, soon proceeding to ask if it’s my order. His name was Bestnik, and he waited FIFTY minutes after closing time, TWO HOURS after my order was called in just to give me the order. When I asked him why he stayed so long, he said “I just didn’t want anyone to take it.”
I’ve always loved Jersey Mikes for their sandwiches, but I have never seen service like this before. Bestnik made my night, and reminded me that there are good people in this world, who will go the extra mile even when they are not told to do so. If that doesn’t deserve a promotion or bonus or a tip (he said he couldn’t take tips, not sure if company policy or if it’s the fact he’s just an extraordinarily good person), then I don’t...
