My first visit to A.Y.C.E. I was craving crab legs and wanted all you can eat and saw this advertised on some social media platform. I read the reviews and went here based on those. I ordered just crab legs steamed. It came with some sort of oil butter it was clearly not drawn butter. I say this cause it was freezing inside the establishment and the “butter” stayed fluid it never hardened. So my waitress Brenda was very pleasant she explained the process since I mentioned it was my first time and promptly brought me 2lbs of little crab legs. They had no flavor what so ever. No saltiness at all. I tried to soak them in the oil and lemon I had to ask for salt. So my next batch I asked for the crab boil which was seasoned but literally was so oily and the crab was so emulsed in the oily mixture that it was so difficult trying to get one decent piece of crab leg to come out in one piece. I did ask for potatoes this time and again just no kind of flavor except for the seasoned oil that it came in. I did as for a salt shaker. I also ordered shrimp tempura which again no flavor and had to use soy sauce to give it some kind of life. To be fair I did not try anything else off of the menu like sushi or anything with the all you can eat offerings. So I won’t say ALL THE FOOD was tasteless just what I ordered. My server went on break so then I got Brittany. She was also pleasant and when asked if I was ready for more I expressed my disappointment in my food and she apologized for my dissatisfaction. When clearly it was not her doing. But I refused more food. She offered dessert I refused and She brought my bill and thanked me for my feed back and said she would express it to management. I said thank you. The bill was $49.80 after tax plus a little over 30% tip. The service was good and the atmosphere was ok just a little cold inside. Sadly I will not be returning because of the mediocre food.”crab legs” and “shrimp tempura” This review is not meant to be mean or to knock down this establishment. It is my own personal opinion of my experience. I believe in being honest and if critiqued I would take it into consideration to better my guest’s dining...
Read moreThis was my 2nd time coming here. The 1st time was great. This time not so much. I went to the restroom to wash my hands. One of the sinks looked like someone threw up in it. I reported it to the 1st lady server that I seen. I ordered the boiling crab without crawfish, mussels & sausage. They brought out the platter with crawfish. My friend ordered a crab boil without crawfish at the same time I ordered. My food took so long to come out I had to ask my server if my order was in. My friend's order was wrong. It was missing potatoes & corn. Now getting back to my order....I ate my potatoes & corn and some shrimp. When I started to eat my crab legs it didn't taste right. I cracked another piece and smelled it. It didnt smell right. I had my friend and my sister smell it. My sister said the crab smelled like ammonia which indicated that it was no good / spoiled. Maybe since it took forever for my food to come out it spoiled before it got to my table. Ok just kidding about that. Seriously though I am all the way turned off now about eating anything else from here. The server asked if I wanted something else. NO WAY did I want anything else to eat. I went to wash my hands and it looked like someone just rinsed the sink out with remnants of puke still in the sink. I informed my server. He went to his manager & they sent someone to clean it. The server came back & said his manager told him that what I saw in the sink was just Cajun sauce. NEGATIVE. It was cajun sauce along with chunks of food. The nerve of the manager saying that. How could she honestly form her lips and let that lie come out of her mouth. That is an insult to my intelligence. So you mean to tell me that someone went into the ladies bathroom with some cajun sauce just to put it in the sink? Nice try but the manager could have kept that lie in her mouth. The server was nice but he was timid and appeared very inexperienced. He apologized to me for my experience. I asked where the manager was but the manager never came. NOT COOL. Would I come back here again.... After this...
Read moreMy recent visit to the AYCE sushi restaurant on Flamingo and Pecos in Las Vegas left me disappointed, yet I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope for their future. Right from the start, our food arrived before our drinks, showcasing a lack of organization among the staff. It was a disheartening way to begin the dining experience.
Adding to the letdown, our waiter misinformed us about the cajun albacore, assuring us that the seasoning could be removed. However, as we soon discovered, the cajun albacore comes pre-seasoned and cannot be altered. It was frustrating to be given false information, raising concerns about the knowledge and training of the staff.
Moreover, we had to repeatedly request side dishes with soy sauce, which indicated a lack of attentiveness from the staff. However, amidst my disappointment, I couldn't help but believe that with improved communication and customer focus, they could elevate their service standards.
The culinary experience itself fell short of expectations, particularly with the eggrolls. Unfortunately, the second round of eggrolls was undercooked and lacked the desired crispy texture. It was disappointing to encounter such a misstep in the preparation of a seemingly simple dish.
The overall ambiance was lackluster, with no music playing and half of the restaurant empty. However, I remain optimistic that with some attention to detail and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, they could significantly enhance the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to the AYCE sushi restaurant on Flamingo and Pecos in Las Vegas left me with a sense of disappointment, but also a glimmer of hope for their future. The issues with the timing of drinks, inaccurate information about the cajun albacore, inattentive service, subpar food quality, and lackluster ambiance were evident. However, by addressing these shortcomings and making improvements, they have the potential to become a much more enjoyable dining...
