My family and I were craving steak 🍖 and burgers 🍔 and decided to give this place a try.
Boooooooooy was this something.....where do I start.
The side door was closed but said it opens 24 hours. We almost left but one of us found another door 🚪 on the side to enter through.
Only 21 and older are allowed to enter. Since it's a bar 🍸 and restaurant. But, what I noticed was a strange sense and surrounding here.
Our waiter was nice and took our appetizers (which was chicken 🐔 fingers) very tasty! 😋
Just when I thought we found a hidden gem. The worse part was yet to come through. 😕
When we all did our order. Which were a Ceasar Salad 🥗, chicken sandwich 🥪 with cheese 🧀 and fries 🍟, along with a sirloin steak 🥩 mash potato 🥔 and vegetables. Looks can be deceiving. It looked cooked but was either dry or overcooked. Our salad 🥗 had a fish 🐟 taste. Not sure if it was cross contaminated with other foods. The burger was dry and only bit once! (Told waiter something didn't taste right here) no juice or flavor. Then the steak 🥩 was so dry and no flavor which was strange since we asked for it to be MEDIUM done. This steak came out fully cooked. Chewed longer than a bubble gum.
We addressed the issue with the waiter. He went back to try to fix the problem.
My concern though was he said that, "oooops they probably cooked your steak 🥩 in the MICROWAVE!" 😲 😯 😮 🙀 😱 🤯 😲
WE ALL WERE SHOCKED HE SLIPPED SAYING THAT!
We stopped what we ate and told him that we cannot trust the cooking here.
He then apologized for the concern but still made us pay for the chicken 🐔 fingers (which was okay since we did eat and like that ONLY!)
CHARGED us that and the burger 🍔(which was only bit ONCE and we even showed that it was dry. I was like you try eating your meals and tell us how it taste. This was not up to par.
Noticed a lady which I'm assuming was an owner or co-owner never acknowledged the issue and had her waiter deal with issues.

A call was made to order food for pickup, someone answered, then transfered the call to someone else. This second individual couldn't make out my ordering while speaking to him. So, I spoke louder on my car phone so that they may hear me better. He then tells me stop yelling at me, not taking in account that he was all over the place naming food items that had nothing to do with the order I was placing.
Once, I arrived into the establishment. Luis (or Lewis) the bartender approaches me for why I'm there. I tell him to pickup my order and he did not have to be rude to me, when I previously placed my order by phone. He tells me it wasn't him, he transferred the call. Got it, I told him uunderstood. However, he starts being snarky and belligerent with me in front of a packed house of dinners and slot players. He starts broaching the counter space making aggressive snarls and facial expressions at me, saying that he's refusing service, plus attempts to call the police on me, when all he had to do was apologize for the behavior of the other employee that he handed the phone call over to. I've been coming to this place for good food for a very long time and have never seen no other employees display this kind of behavior to their customers ever. He told me, " Get out of my restaurant," and barred me from Village Pub for life. Now, I'm a solo woman that can hold my own and I don't understand if this upsets servers and bartenders like Luis (Lewis)?
However, I'm a paying customer and have no need to be bullied by customer-service oriented workers. A simple apology from him would've solved everything.

Read moreI first heard of village pub threw my co-worker. He would go here all the time on and told me good things about this place. I have been here 4 times to be exact. Well on 9-1-17, I decided to order carry out. I called and spoke to John, and ordered (well done Steak) & Shrimp with Garlic mashed potatoes! Price was great $13.49 tax 1.11 paying total of 14.60. When I picked up food I decided to have a cold Modelo $4.00 and tipped of course. Always tip your bartender!!! I was very satisfied with the garlic mash and the shrimp, OMG the fried shrimp is so tasty and delicious. NOW I WAS SAD ABOUT MY STEAK, I DID ORDER WELL DONE BUT COMMON I DIDNT ORDER TO OVERCOOK THE STEAK TO WHERE I CANT ENJOY IT. I called in 9-2-17 11am and spoke to Susan, I originally asked for manager and she said she was current manager. Well I expressed that I was calling in to give feedback on my order from last night. I told her my good and bad feedback, with my overcooked steak and how everything else was good. She then proceed to ask me for my name and told me to hold on. She said she had to speak to the "manager' like wait wasn't she the current manager. Anyhow she came back on phone and asked me for my number and name.
