DJ's Steakhouse Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Winchester

We were there about 6:30 pm on Saturday, November 11. I would not call it a steakhouse, it’s more like a large Tavern or bar that serves steak. They were not terribly busy. Bartender was super nice. First issue was she didn’t know how to make a basic martini - ok, probably doesn’t get a lot of orders for it.

First issue was Service. Waitress was sweet, but not very well trained for her job. One of our guests ordered a steak, medium rare, and it came medium well. So she sent it back, which is fine, but the rest of the food was beyond mediocre. The black and pork tenderloin was incredibly salty. The five dollar up charge for asparagus resulted in exactly 5 stocks of asparagus so about a dollar per stock. it took forever to get the re-cooked steak and when we asked about it, she came back and said it was still on the grill because it was on the rare side and I pointed out that the guest and ordered it medium rare so they probably should take it off of the grill like right now. They did, and it was actually cooked perfectly medium rare, which means if they had left it on the grill like they want to do it would’ve come over cooked again. For a ribeye steak it was unbelievably tough and made me question if it was actually a ribeye cut because it like the marbling, and looked more like a sirloin. No one was impressed at all with their food. Several of the folks ordered ribeyes and commented that they lacked flavor. They were also out of barbecue ribs, which was a one of the advertised specials.

This might be an OK place for a burger or something like that but if you’re expecting a nice steakhouse meal, I would not...

Had reservations for 7 pm with 7 people. Showed up 655. We were seated and then forgotten. We ordered a few appetizers and when they were delivered we only received 1/2 of what we ordered but we were charged at the end for all. After placing our dinner order we waited and waited...the server came out with 3 salads when I stated that we asked for No onions because I was highly allergic she removed the salads. A few minutes later she brought out 2 of the 6 entrees and the New salads. I asked for dressing for them. 2 hours later after asking repeatedly for dressing she stated that she could get them for us to Go...on our hot salads at this point. The Burgers were crap and Over cooked. The bacon on the triple cheese Burger was raw. The customer next to us asked 3 plus times for a spoon. Still no dressing for 3 salads. Server Never asked if we needed refills. My Grandlove couldn't eat her double decker because she had nothing to drink. We were told that they were out of Beer Cheese, yet every table around us was offered it. All in all I can go On and On about how absolutely terrible it was but the Icing on the cake was a Bill for $186.00..... I will definitely dispute these charges. We didn't even have 100.00 worth of food. I would Steer clear of this Place. I wouldn't Ever recommend this dive to anyone. Stay Away!! You really need to do better!! You...

I would prefer to give this place a no star review, due do what I witness on 8/16/2021, a Dad with his 2 boys were eating near us, the children were being boys...but not out of there seats at all... they was asked to finish up their meals and leave because his children were being loud and disturbing others around them. The Dad apologized and asked for boxes to go, he never got his boxes for his left overs, he pays and leaves with the a child hold each of his hands. We are leaving about the same time only to see the Manager had followed the Dad out and STOP him in the parking lot ..... insulting him about not leaving the waitress a tip after his kids left such a mess....All I saw was stacked plates and salt and pepper on the table when we walked by. The Dad replied to him how dare you, I feel like I was treated rudely that's why I didn't leave a tip but I didn't say anything to anyone and you follow me out to my car! The manager kept going on saying things to him, they Dad walked away from the Manager. I would have decked him myself if I were that Dad. The food was all that great and service was terrible and this espoide made it worse! We will never go back there and I am telling everyone I know about this situation that we witness.
