Jade Garden — Restaurant in Winchester

We were looking forward to seeing the renovations and have the buffet for dinner. We hadn't been there in over a month and were expecting good things.The place looked much improved and we were glad to see they got rid of the carpet. That aside it was the worst food we ever had there. What a let down after they put so much into making the place look better. The food on the buffet was barely warm, and even worse they had every ceiling fan in the building going. The dinner buffet had the exact same items as the lunch buffet along with a increased price of 9.99 each. I hate to have to add this because the food was always alright before, but this time it just didn't taste fresh. We didn't eat the food on our first plates and waited for them to bring something fresh. After all that they never brought any more Generals chicken. Our bill was 31.95 and I asked the cashier about the price change. She insisted it was always that price. We left a buffet feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. It's really too bad because we before we ate lunch there often because they had the best Rangoon and Generals chicken around this area. Right now I can't see going back....

I don't know what has happened to this place! It used to be the best restaurant in Clark County! In the past few months though they should change the name from: Jade Garden to Everything Onion! The reason I say this as they put onion filler or just chopped up onions in everything on the menu practically . You look at the dishes in the buffet and it's full of onions were people have been trying to get the meat or vegetables out and there just piles and piles of onion left . I mean anything they can put onion in they do. Worse than that, ithe quality of the food has gone down drastically as well. The only thing I can think of is they re trying to save money and in so doing are falling into the trap of many restaurants: You cut back on your ingredients and your quality trying to save a buck and you lose your business. Many friends and coworkers who also loved to eat at this restaurant, have voiced the same observations. Hopefully if enough people complain, and you can tell the crowds are drastically less than they used to be in this place, they will get back to what made this such a great restaurant...

I have been eating here for 10+ years and I love this place. The buffet price includes a drink and is around $14 per person, depending on the day and time. The buffet has a very good variety and is always filled with fresh, delicious food. The Crab Rangoon is the best I've ever had anywhere. They also offer to-go buffet and takeout that is very good as well. The only negative thing I can say about this place is the service, but an attentive server is not necessary for a buffet.
