Starbucks — Restaurant in Windsor Heights

My husband went in this morning 11/10/2021 to get a coffee drink for me cause we ran out at home and decided to get a treat while buying more beans. I texted him my order which he read “grande iced coconut or soy milk mocha. 2 pumps of peppermint if they have” my husband read this twice to the barista working the register and the other working the machines started the drinks. There were no lines so they weren’t slammed. But my husband was preoccupied with our son (age 4) and left with the drinks when done thinking they just decided to put mine in a hot cup. The one that came home was a hot peppermint drink made with 2% milk and a couple pumps of mocha. I know this cause I used to work at Starbucks for 3 years and also worked another coffee shop prior. I also know what my drink should taste like as I can’t have hot drinks or regular milk.

I write this novel as this isn’t the first time my drink was messed up. A simple one not to crazy except less ice and an alternative milk which don’t take much to switch (from experience). I won’t be coming here again and might leave Starbucks well alone out here in Des Moines in general as the training, customer service and listening skills...

Absolutely LOVED my baristas today—Gretel and Max!! They were just the sweetest!!
