My first time coming to this Chinese restaurant was fantastic! My grandpa and uncle have always gone, and I would eat leftovers when they'd bring it home, today my grandpa and I went. We ordered a lot of food, and it was delicious! We ordered walnut shrimp, sczechuan beef, moo goo gi pan, scallops in garlic sauce, sauteed shrimp, shrimp in garlic sauce, seafood combination soup, egg drop soup, fried dumplings, combination fried rice, crab cheese wontons, and pork with garlic sauce. Let's just say my grandpa really loves this place. The food came out all at once hot and freshly made and the server poured us our soups in the bowls, she was welcoming and we were seated promptly when arriving. Joann, the owner came out and she greeted the guests around the restaurant asking about the service and their food, and chatted with us for a moment. The waitress and Joann remembered our orders although my grandpa hadn't visited in about a year! The staff are very sweet and accommodating, they packaged our food for us when we were done enjoying, and helped carry the box to the car. Also, if you're a spicy food eater, I highly recommend the sczechuan beef, it's not overly powerful with spice but it's seasoned well and tastes great, also their mustard, it's homemade and really brings a punch! The scallops are a must as well, they are soft and flavorful, I could tell they weren't overcooked because they weren't chewy. The seafood soup came with a lot of seafood, it has shrimp, scallops, and fish. The combo fried rice also comes with a lot of protein in it as well, shrimp, egg, and chicken seasoned very well, wonderful flavor. I also enjoyed the fried dumplings, they were packed with meat, and served with a seasoned soy sauce, there was a little bit of chili flakes in the sauce but it wasn't spicy, great flavor with that as well. The crab cheese wontons were also delicious, freshly made and crispy, they weren't oilly, and like I said the mustard served with them was great! The sauces we wanted on our dishes was generous, you could taste it, and it was distributed well throughout the dish. We will be coming back for sure, I highly recommend visiting,...
Read moreWow. Ok so we tried. We really tried even given the recent bad reviews (the other place in town is closed on Monday and we really wanted Chinese tonight). We bypassed delivery given what everyone noted here and picked up instead. The best thing to be said is that it was ready on time.
The appetizers are fine - minus the sauce that comes with the wontons being the consistency of jello (we heated it to make it edible as a dipping sauce). Never encountered that before! The sesame chicken we got for our kids seems ok although we haven’t tasted it yet.
But the Combination Pan Fried Noodles is truly one of the most disgusting things I have ever been served by a restaurant in my life. I am honestly not sure the “meat” is meat. And I don’t usually say things like this!
I thought the other bad reviews had to be exaggerating but oh my goodness they are not wrong. This dish is supposed to have chicken, beef, and shrimp. The shrimp is identifiable and ok so long as you ignore the crummy sauce it’s drenched in. But we cannot tell what of the rest of the goop we were served is actually beef or chicken. It’s just a soggy stringy mess. My husband says it’s like eating soggy cardboard.
We have ordered this dish from so many places over the years and haven’t always liked how it is prepared but I swear nothing has ever come close to being this terrible. It’s inedible.
I thought the other guy who said they had to order pizza was being dramatic but seriously believe him and save yourself. We are going to order out from a different restaurant now just so we have something to eat tonight. Such a waste of money.
Whatever is going on here should be addressed. I don’t see how they can stay open serving food this bad and I seriously hope that we don’t get sick from what we ate so far. For their own good this place should close until they can get their...
Read moreAbsolutely wonderful food! Polite and efficient service! My wife and I had a taste for Chinese food this evening and were so excited to find this place nearby. For our appetizers we ordered the egg drop soup, the fried cheese won tons and the Fried chicken dumplings. The soup was hot, and tasty. The won tons were hot and crispy with a savory cheese style filling. Delicious! I love that they serve them with freshly made hot mustard and a sweet dipping sauce. Hard to find a Chinese restaurant that serves these fresh instead of those packets most places give you. And it's the good hot mustard..if you know, you know. We ordered the General Tso chicken and the Beef in Oyster sauce. Both were served in very nice portions. More than enough. Will have leftovers for sure. The General Tso was a nice fried version with more chicken than breading. Delectable. The Beef in Oyster sauce was also better than anywhere else that we have tried. Beef was cooked using that technique that softens the protein making it melt in the mouth. Not hard to chew and not stringy like some other places. Served with fresh tasting snow pea pods and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious! If you are looking for a good place to sit down with very friendly staff and wonderfully cooked food....try this place. The Ambiance was clean, well maintained and lit with soft inviting lighting. There is a small koi fish pond in the front that houses some of the most colorful and sizable koi I have seen in a long time. I saw some negative reviews and I have to wonder if they are even talking about the same place. Honestly after going there myself, if I ever met someone who gave this place a low score I would probably judge them negatively and assume they had some screws loose. Anyhow we will...
