This review is a little late in coming but "better late than never"--as they say. My partner and I had a Saturday to spend in Sonoma in early March. We took the opportunity to do some wine tasting and decided to visit Baldassari. It was long past lunch by then, unseasonably chilly, We found ourselves ensconced in the corner of an inviting tasting lounge. The warm sun shining through the windows, light chatter of friends at the counter, and the comfortable couch made for a cozy, easy afternoon of sampling Baldassari's delicious wines. We can't say enough about Dom and his gracious hospitality as he took time to explain the wines (with map showing the different regions where the grapes are grown) and to answer our questions about the wine business (contracts between wine makers and grape growers; how climate has affected the business with more frequent extreme temperatures, etc.). It was a memorable afternoon, and we can't thank Dom enough for that. We highly recommend a visit to Baldassari for the wine and, certainly, for Dom's...

We found Baldassari purely by chance: we were actually walking into the cute pet place next door and Deb came outside to chat with us. She invited us in, and we’ve been members ever since! She and Dom in the tasting room have always taken great care of us and everyone went sent there.
It was in 2018 when we first met Deb, and we still buy the majority of our wine from this incredible winery.
All of their wines are great, and our favorites right now are the 2017 Chardonnay and Syrah. Everyone we’ve shared them with has also loved them, so it’s worth a shot to try them out.
Before you buy that big-winery bottle, do yourself a favor and try the beautiful wines at Baldassari. You can...
Read moreLooking for a cozy wine tasting experience? Look no further than this charming corner wine lounge in downtown Windsor! We were lucky enough to be greeted by the friendly duo of Dom (dad) and Matt (son & winemaker). They made us feel right at home, sharing their passion for wine and their family business.
We opted for the red flight, indulging in the smooth Pinot Noir, the bold Syrah, the intriguing Malbec, and the classic Cab. While we enjoyed them all, the Malbec was a standout—a rich, full-bodied wine with subtle chocolate notes.
Next time, we're definitely trying their chocolate and wine pairing. It sounds like the perfect way to unwind!
If you're in the area, don’t miss this gem. You’ll love the wine, the atmosphere, and the warm...
