Well, I have gotten take out from this place a few times. Keep trying to like it, but I am continually disappointed. The food is undercooked, flavorless, and not made with any kid of care. For one, when you put a bacon cheese burger in a to go container you put all the condiments on the side so they don't get all wilted. They don't do that here, which wouldn't have been an issue if the lettuce wasn't all black and rotten. When you open a restaurant offering fried food, make sure you have enough fryers to meet demands. Trying to pump out so many fries that the oil gets to cold to cook them ending up with soggy oil filled under cooked fries that taste disgusting is not the way to go. I honestly felt like the food was prepared with such lack of care I was scared to eat it for fear of getting sick. I will never eat here again and hope that they close soon to allow a at least decent restaurant to take there place. I could get a better burger at McDonald's or inn an out. The people that work in the kitchen should be ashamed and look for other work. Maybe they make better tacos or something. Seems like such a waste, invest all that money in a nice restaurant only to serve horribly prepared food. The burger didn't even come with bbq sauce. Just two things of ketchup and some nasty thousand island that looked like someone made it a month ago. I have noticed this from many restaurants these days, quality is just not there anymore. Also, had a whole half inch slice of onion on it. Should have been...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Dog friendly. Huge portions. We pass hundreds of restaurants to some to this one so that we can get our dog out of the house. With todays gas prices, that is saying a lot.
Edit: it takes us 30 minutes to get here. We have driven here twice, wasting gas and almost an hour of my family’s time to be told they are not serving breakfast before 11:45am. The lunch menu is horrible. They don’t have anything that they are known for on it. So twice now I have driven here and been told that I cannot order food that is good for dinner or breakfast even though I am within their time constraints. As I am typing this I am sitting in my car and it is still breakfast time but they refuse to serve it.
Please enjoy being a popular restaurant but we will no longer be driving 30 minutes to frequent this establishment. We used to come here one to two times per week. It isn’t much but this is how it starts. I’ve worked at enough restaurants to know that there’s only so many loyal customers you can upset before you have to start laying off staff.
Edit- we gave up and still go here. We just know to call every time to make sure they are serving the appropriate meals. It is a 5 star restaurant but 4 stars because I’m still upset about losing several...
Read moreThe waiter was a young gentleman who was affable and courteous. We were seated promptly, and our large party was comfortable where we were placed. We had an outdoor booth, and didn't have to worry much about how noisy the children got. We had a rather eclectic order, and the waiter was very accommodating and thoughtful. His service was outstanding. BUT - the fish was overcooked, and they were out of Li'l Sumpin' Sumpin' on tap. 805 & a Racer 5 made up the difference, but the 805 was a little flat. Not sure if it was end of the keg or some other issue, but the Racer came out just fine. The kids' chicken strips ce out fine and the french fry proportions were large. The onion rings were a little over-done as well, but well shy of burned. None of them survived the encounter! The play structure for the kids is right across the street, which was convenient for a little aprés dinner exercise. (Grandpa-ing is so much more fun when the tech is kid-friendly!)
If I knew we would get the same waiter I would be willing to try more items from their menu, but over all I think the amount of fried foods ingested was more than I should do in one sitting. My eyes were higger than my stomach, even though I did not eat the fish.
Most importantly, the chocolate shake...
