Pelican Jo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Windsor

We have ordered pizza from Pelican Jo's a few times now. I have always picked it up because they don't deliver to my house. We live in Severance, about 10 minutes away. We have ordered pretty basic pizzas and have not branched out with any of their specialty items. We tried their garlic bread option and it was pretty good. We really enjoy the pizza and that is the reason we have been coming back! It's nothing fancy; just brick oven baked, greasy pizza. That is the way we like it!

There is one issue I feel like I should mention. We have ordered online a couple times now and learned our lesson about the inadequate online ordering system. If we order a dinner special (two 14" one-topping pizzas) and want two pizzas with the same topping, there's no way to select the same topping for a second pizza. When we thought we ordered pepperoni for both pizzas, it only came on one of the pizzas and the other pizza was cheese only with no topping at all. It was very disappointing to get home and find out that we paid for a topping that wasn't there. I called the restaurant and they told me they would replace it if I drove back to the store. There was no offer to replace the pizza on another visit or to make any other compensation. Instead of fixing the problem online, I was told that it was my responsibility to make sure I entered a "special note" for them if I wanted both pizzas with the same topping. Not impressed.

All that being said, I enjoy their pizza and I will be back, even if I need to make a "special note" when...

Get ready for my rant! But Not A Karen 😌 I Bought Pizza rolls and Low and behold they were doughy as per usual with this place.. I haven't been here in a couple years so I thought maybe I wouldn't have the same problem again since it's been so long and I know I couldn't have been the only one to ever complain that their pizza rolls are 50% raw still even tho the crust is perfect.. But not to my surprise, 3 outta the 6 I bought were just that, doughy and raw and not to mention all different sizes, not consistent with equality of size for 1 price..Some of them were tiny.. When I mentioned to the clerk about them being raw she began to explain why they were doughy and mentioned their ovens are old and it's the way the cheese lays against the dough, when I told her this can't be healthy to be eating raw dough her next excuse was, "raw dough isn't harmful it's just yeast" So of course I did my research after she left the table only to find articles confirming that it is infact unsafe to consume raw dough..for obvious reasons.. Needless to say I will never be eating at this place again, you would think they would want there customers to be 100% satisfied with their food and not just made excuses as to why their food is under quality.. You would think they would create a new way to roll there pizza rolls to fix this problem and even invest in a new oven, if that's really the issue . For this reason, I have to give this restaurant 1 star only.. Please Do Better Pelican Joe's It's about time...

I decided to try this place for the first time last night and I was sorely disappointed. I placed an online order at 2 PM with a delivery time of 6 PM. I received no notifications from the restaurant on whether my pizza was being made or out for delivery. By 6:15 or so, I called to see what the status was, just because I found it odd that I hadn't heard anything. The person who answered the phone was completely unhelpful - telling me that he didn't know the status of my order, and that it may have went out for delivery at 5 PM. I told him I hadn't received my food, and his response was that I would just have to continue to wait and call back later. So I waited another 30 min or so and called back again. The same person answered and still didn't know where my order was, and also told me that they were out of garlic knots. Eventually, someone else took over the phone and finally helped me out, letting me know that they did, in fact, have garlic knots and that my order would be delivered shortly. Over an hour after my original scheduled delivery time, I received the order. The pizza was room temperature and the garlic knots were burnt. I would have been a little less peeved about the poor customer service if the pizza and garlic knots were made properly. 0/10 would not recommend this...
